OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of polycyclic aromatic hydro-carbons(PAHs) on the occurrence of human pancreatic tumor and liver tumor.METHODS PAHs in human pancreatic tumor and liver tumor, adjacent pancreatic tumor tissues and liver tissues, tissues without pancreatic tumor and liver tumor were extracted by ultrasonic wave extraction. And then the extracts were cleaned up by solid phase extraction and analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence spectroscopy.RESULTS Four kinds of PAHs were detected, which were chrysene,2-methyl anthracene, pyrene and benzo(a)pyrene. The contents of the four PAHs were not statistically significant between pancreatic tumor and adjacent tissues (P>0.05). The contents of2-methyl anthracene, Pyrene and benzo(a)pyrene in pancreatic tumor and adjacent tissues were higher than tissues without pancreatic tumor, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The contents of chrysene in the three kinds of pancreatic tissues were not statistically significant (P>0.05). The contents of the four PAHs in the three kinds of liver tissues were not statistically significant (P>0.05).CONCLUSIONS PAHs were found in human pancreatic tissues and liver tissues. Human pancreatic tissues and liver tissues have extremely strong ability of bio-concentrating PAHs. PAHs might play an important role in the occurrence of human pancreatic tumor. PAHs might not play an important role in the occurrence of human liver tumor. |
