Objective:By measuring CGRP of those typical primary trigeminal neuralgia patients,it is possible for us to find the correlation between CGRP and the prognosis of them with MVDMethods:We selected 50 typical primary trigeminal neuralgia patients in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital randomly. When they were in the attack of trigeminal neuralgia or 2 minutes after the pain, blood in jugular vein was drew at that time. Those who were not typical primary trigeminal neuralgia were excluded during operations. One weeks after the operations, patients who felt no pain were drew blood in jugular vein again. All blood specimens were measured. Those patients were followed up for 24 months. T test was used during this subject. Results:CGRP in jugular vein was higher when patients were attacted by trigeminal neuralgia. After MVD,it was lower when they fekt no pain. CGRP is not related with the prognosis of typical primary trigeminal neuralgia. Conclusion:CGRP is not related with the prognosis of typical primary trigeminal neuralgia.CGRP acts an important role in primary trigeminal neuralgia.
