Schizonepeta tenuifolia Briq.and Saposhnikovia divaricata are both important traditional Chinese medicinal herbs. The main body of which are volatile oil and some water-soluble ingredients respectively.Schizonepeta tenuifolia Briq.and Saposhnikovia divaricata have multiple pharmacological effects, which often appear frequently in the commonly used traditional Chinese medicine compound preparation and can cure many kinds of diseases.Because of the component complexity of the traditional Chinese medicine,it is jug-handled to evaluate the quality of certain traditional Chinese medicine by only one component. The fingerprint has been increasingly utilized as practical method for the identification and quality evaluation of the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM);it can affect the difference of samples, such as the species, the origin sampling data processing. The main detection methods of Chinese traditional medicine fingerprints include chromatography, spectral chromatography, and the joint usage and so on.The frequently used chromatography are TLC?GC?HPLC and HPCE.There are several conditions in traditional Chinese medicine fingerprint inspection methods at present. It is possible for the chromatography to express the whole condition of the different chemical composition density of the complex and mix system of traditional Chinese medicine because of the advanced detection technology and the fine separating power. So the chromatography is the mostly adopted detection method for fingerprints currently.Schizonepeta tenuifolia Briq.and Saposhnikovia divaricata volatile oil is extracted by steam distillation in the research by orthogonal test. The author adopts temperature programming in GC and analyzes 10 batches of Schizonepeta tenuifolia Briq.from different provinces,11 batches of Saposhnikovia divaricata from different provinces in this paper. The chemical data are dealed with hierarchical clustering analysis.Conditions of GC were described below:the chromatographic column was DB-5(30 m×0.25 mm×0.25 ?m).The temperature at both feed inlet and detector was 250 ?.The carrier gas was nitrogen, and the flow rate was 2 mL·min-1.GC of the essential oil was analyzed by adopting temperature programmer and the fingerprint peaks were identified by GC-MS.All spectrograms were putted to“Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprint of TCM" software designed by National Institute for Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products. We have performed the automatic match of the similarity data by taking number 1 sample spectrogram as the reference spectrogram respectively. The RSD of relative retention time and relative peak areas were all less than 3%on stability and repeatability, which met the request of fingerprints. As a result, the fingerprint spectrum established here can offer a reference for quality control Schizonepeta tenuifolia Briq.and Saposhnikovia divaricata, and moreover make a basis for traditional Chinese medicine fingerprint spectrum establishment.
