Clinical Efficacy Observation Of Thermal Moxibustion Treatment On Scapulohumeral Periarthritis(Cold-damp Type)

Objective:This study observed the clinical curative effect of thermal moxibustion tre-atment on scapulohumeral periarthritis(cold-damp Type).Method:This study included 60 patients,we average distribute them into moxibustion group and acupuncture group randomly.After two courses of treatment, by observing and c-omparing the patients in pain, muscle strength, functional activity, flexion range, total sati-sfaction and UCLA score changes of the two groups.Result:Compared the UCLA score before and after treatment in two groups,in addi-tion to muscle strength were improved(P<0.05).There were significant differences in pai n,functional activity and total score(P<0.05).The patients at pain, functional activity and the total score of UCLA of thermal moxibustion group improved obviously and the results showed an significant difference(P<0.05).While,there was no significant difference be-tween the two groups at muscle strength, flexion range and satisfaction,etc(P>0.05).By comparison the total effective rate of the two groups,the effective rate of thermal mox-ibustion group was 93.33%,while the electro-acupuncture group only showed 90.00% at the same aspects. There were significant differences in the efficiency of the two groups.Conclusion:Thermosensitive point moxibustion shows effective in the treatment at periarthritis of shoulder(Cold-damp Type),especially at the aspects of improving the degre-e of pain, functional activity and UCLA total score.
