The Clinical Observation Of "Dian Di Zhen Guan" Treats Patients With Post-Stroke Hemiplegic Shoulder Pain

Objective:To explore safety and efficacy in "Dian Di Zhen Guan" treats patient with post-stroke hemiplegic shoulder pain, so that can provide a new method for help that patient recover.Method:Patients with Post-stroke hemiplegic shoulder Pain who meet the criteria are randomly assigned to treatment or control group,30 in each group. Both groups were conducted a routine Chinese and Western medicine treatment and rehabilitation, besides, the treatment group received "Dian Di Zhen Guan" therapy and the control group with electro-acupuncture therapy. During treatment, the treatment group is evaluated the safety. The day before, participants in both groups before treatment are evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale/Score (VAS), Fugl-Meyer upper limb motor function and Activities Daily Living (ADL, barthel index), after treatment they need rating again.Results:1. The during the treatment only two patients had a small amount of blisters, there is not adverse reactions occurred.2. There is no significant difference before treatment in patients with assessment results of VAS (P> 0.05). After treatment two groups assessment results of VAS decrease (P<0.01) and the treatment group have more dramatic decline (P<0.05).3. There is no significant difference before treatment in patients with assessment results of Fugl-Meyer upper limb motor function (P> 0.05). After treatment two groups assessment results of Fugl-Meyer upper limb motor function increase (P<0.01) and the treatment group have more markedly rise(P<0.05).4. There is no significant difference before treatment in patients with assessment results of ADL (barthel index) (P> 0.05). After treatment two groups assessment results of ADL (barthel index) increase (P<0.01) and the treatment group have more markedly rise(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. All the evidences show that the new therapy of "Dian Di Zhen Guan" is safe and effective for patients with Post-stroke hemiplegic shoulder Pain.2. "Dian Di Zhen Guan" can decline the symptom of patient with post-stroke hemiplegic shoulder pain; improve ability of patient's upper limb motor function and activities of daily living.
