In daily life, a lot of information is communicated in interpersonal communication, including the current emotional status. Facial expressions are the most important of showing people's emotions. Children with autism have difficulties in communicating and establishing relationships with the outside world. They also find it difficult to pay attention to others' emotions and respond to relevant situations emotionally. Moreover, children with autism have difficulties in expressing emotions through proper facial expressions, thus directly affecting social interaction and exacerbating. Many studies have shown that intervention training of emotional competence for children with autism can enhance their empathic ability, and improve the core symptom-social communication obstacles. Training projects based on computers are safe, convenient, predictable and repeatable. It is also suitable for autistic children's not being able to communicate with others well. More and more scholars abroad tend to depend on computers to achieve smart intervention treatment. In China, smart intervention treatment is still in the initial stages of development. Currently, a systematic therapeutic education mechanism hasn't emerged yet. As for intervention of emotional abilities, systematic interventions are not conducted much at home and abroad. They mainly focus on facial expression recognition. Training of facial expressions is not included. Based on technologies like video analysis, automatic face recognition algorithm, Flash, and man-machine interaction, the subject develops an intervention system targeted on emotional abilities of autistic children, mainly including facial expression recognition and expression. They are adopted in intervention treatment of autistic children to seek for the function of the system. The paper mainly completes the following work:(1) Techcological realization of intervention system on autistic children's emotional abilitiesAnalyze system requirements, design overall C/S three-tier architecture and conduct model selection for relevant technology; detailed design and development of client and server; in different conditions, analyze the performance of automatic face recognition algorithm in game intervention (accuracy and average time of recognition), and select the algorithm that meets the requirements of intervention system.(2) Realization of interactive intervention game suitable for autistic childrenIntegrate six basic facial expressions (angry, happy, fear, sad, disgust and surprise) into interactive intervention game; considering differences in cognitive competences of different autistic groups, intervention games do not rely on keyboards and will navigate the path automatically. Introduce fortifiers suitable for characteristics of autistic children, such as the image of moving trains.(3) Research of the effects of system in autism interventions developed in this projectResearch shows that intervention system developed in this project integrate facial expression imitation into intervention treatment. Autism subjects' scores in emotional competence tests are enhanced. Social life is positively influenced. Therefore desired effects are achieved. This technical solution of system is practical and feasible in enhancing emotional abilities and social communication of autistic children. It provides reference values for relevant intervention treatment.
