| Objective:To observe the different effect in treating insomnia between buried–needle acupuncture and herb oral administrationby treating patients with insomnia of liver fire disturbing heart syndrome.Method: 60 patients with insomnia of liver fire disturbing heart syndrome are randomly divided into buried –needle acupuncture group and group with 30 cases respectively. Observe PSQI score and changes in sleep time of the two groups before and after treatment.Results: 1. Patients of insomnia of liver fire disturbing heart syndrome treated with buried-needle acupuncture have improvement in all the symptoms;PSQI score of buried-needle acupuncture group decreases significantly and sleep time increases significantly; buried-needle acupuncture group is superior to traditional Chinese medicine group.2. PSQI score of both buried-needle acupuncture group and traditional Chinese medicine group decrease; from the 4th week of treatment, buried-needle acupuncturegroup is superior to traditional Chinese medicine group in the decrease degree of PSQI score.3. in the follow-up visit two month after the treatment ended, buried-needle acupuncture group is superior to traditional Chinese medicine group in the decrease degree of PSQI score andsleep time, which shows that buried-needle acupuncture group is superior to traditional Chinese medicine group.Conclusion:buried-needle acupuncture has prominent effect in treating patients with insomnia of liver fire disturbing heart syndrome, improves significantly their clinical symptoms, sleep time and decreases their PSQI score. Buried-needle acupuncture is significantly superior to traditional Chinese medicine. |
