Objective: This study through to observe the clinical curative effect of treating primary insomnia by method of “regulate qi and tranquilize mind, and compared with the conventional acupuncture prescription, with a view to providing a corresponding clinical basis for the future acupuncture treatment of this disease screening optimization acupoints.Methods: According to the principle of random distribution, 60 patients of primary insomnia who are conformed to inclusion criteria are divided into treatment group and control group, each of which contains 30 cases. The treatment group is treated with acupuncture of “regulate qi and tranquilize mind” prescription; The acupuncture prescription of control group is conventional acupuncture prescription. Observe the PSQI and therapeutic effect after 3 courses of treatment.Results: 1. Treatment group total effective rate was 93.33%, control group total effective rate was 80%. Campared two groups, there is a siginificant difference(P < 0.05). 2. Compared two groups of patients after treatment, the PSQI individual and total score, all have significant difference(P < 0.01). 3. The treatment group in sleep quality, time to fall asleep, daytime dysfunction and PSQI score is lower than the control group after treatment(P < 0.05, while on the sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorder, there was no statistically significant difference( P> 0.05).Conclusion: “regulate qi and tranquilize mind” treatment in improving sleep quality, time to fall asleep, daytime dysfunction and PSQI total score is superior to control group, and the clinical curative effect, simple operation, suitable for clinical use.
