Then by application of data mining methods involving the frequency analysis, Apriori algorithm, unsupervised entropy of hierarchical clustering and complex system entropy clustering method integrated into TCMISS, the study analyzed some part of clinical signs or symptoms and the herbal prescriptions wrote out by professor Zhang as well as make a comprehensive discussion combined with the actual interview.Results: The result of frequency statistics shows: the most universal clinical symptoms of 211 RA patients are joint pain and joints welling, respectively 95.26% and 70.14%; there are 98 herbs belonging to 14 drug category in 266 herbal prescriptions. And herbs used commonly are Sargentgloryvine stem, Notopterygium incisum, Honeysuckle, Radix angelicae pubescentis, Polygonum cuspidatum, tripterygium wilfordii, Radix cyathulae, grifola, etc, and the main medicine category involves heat-clearing, damp-clearing, promoting blood circulation medicine. The association analysis result shows the core of the herbs' compatibility mode and integral formula. The entropy clustering analysis excavated 16 potential drug combinations, then evolved into 8 new prescriptions.Conclusion: Heat-toxin and damp evil are the vital pathological factors of RA, and the meridian core pathogenesis is blockage of dampness and Heat toxin.Professor Zhang regards heat-clearing and detoxicating with eliminating damp as the basic remedy and formula principle, meanwhile, there are variable features in principle.
