Objective: This study aims to observe and confirm the curative effect of Acupuncture Treatment on treating CKD(stage 3-5) Patients with Gastrointestinal Symptoms, evaluate its security and effectiveness, explore its mechanism of action, then offer new methods to TCM clinical.Methods: Using prospective randomized method, we divided 60 patients whose condition meets the diagnostic criteria of CKD(stage 3-5) into two groups.30 patients were classified into control group who were treated with integrative medicine foundation treatment. Another 30 patients were classified into treatment group who were treated with integrative medicine foundation treatment and acupuncture treatment. The CKD syndromes were measured and compared before and 2 week after starting the treatment.Results: The total clinical effective rate of treatment group is 82.30%,which is better than that of control group(70.20%) with statistical. The effective rate of treatment group in the symptom signs is much better than that of control group.Conclusion: In the conventional treatment based on the use of acupuncture therapy of CKD in patients with gastrointestinal reactions effective than conventional treatment alone,without increasing side effects.
