Hyperlitidemia is a common disease occurred among the middle aged and the elderly.As the living standard improved with time,many people changed their living style and diets as well.And this lead to an increasing number of people who suffered from hyperlitidemi.What's more,the age of people who is under the suffering currently is much younger compared with the people who aught this before.And atherosclerosis induced by hyperlipidemia contributes the most to the occurance of coronary heart disease,hypertension and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.At present,chemical drugs mainly provide a way of treatment for hypolipidemic but with fierce adverse reactions.As a result,the study on chemical drugs of small dose,good therapeutic effect,less adverse drug reaction will become the focus of future development.As far as we know,natural plant showed its advantages with multiple targets,the overall synergy and less adverse reaction.Pigeon pea is the sole cajanus cajan found among Phaseoleae,Cajaninae,Leguminsae,Pipilionaeeae,beajanus and rich in resources.With its vast growing distribution,it's easy to find in Southeast Asia countries,India and southwest China.It can help with dispel worries and toxic in your body,compensate your vital energy,stop bleeding and the dysentery.Researches show that pigeon peas do help with anti damage of liver and kidney,bone repair and growth,against hypoxic ischemic brain damage and anti diabetic.The main active ingredients of pigeon pea are flavonoids and stilbenes,and reports has been showed that the previous component in pigeon pea has exact curative effect on the treatment of avascular necrosis of femoral head.And drugs for that often with common function of reducing blood fat and anticoagulation.A higher level of flavonoids chemical compound was found in Vitexin pigeon pealeaves,but its effect has not been tested yet..Vitexin is a natural flavonoid monomers existed in over 10 species including pigeon pea hawthorn,vitex,bamboo leaves,etc.With its vast effects,it helps with invigorate the circulation of and dispersing blood stasis,regulate the flow of vital energy and remove obstruction toit,antiviral,anticancer,antioxidant activity.Therefore,vitexin is not only a potenrtial plant source for treatment of reducing blood lipids,it can be applied to hypolipidemic drugs or food development as well.However,its poor water solubility and low solubility which has seriously prevented it from applying into clinic.In order to see the treatment effect of Vitexin on experimental hyperlipidemia animal,we established a hyperlipemia animal test group(feed with fat milk every day and last for one week,then copy the rat model of hyperlipidemia),a vitexin treatment group(feed model fat milk and last for one week,then began to deliver 3,30mg/kg vitexin raw drugs and nano drugs to treat,lasting for 20d),a positive contrast group(feed with model fat milk every day and last for one week,then delivery of 8.4mg/kg simvastatin to treat,lasting for 20d),and a normal contrast group(normal saline every day,same dose with the fat milk,lasting for 20d).Following is the conclusion:1.High dose of vitex has inhibitory effect on the growth of rat body weight,it could reduce liver coefficient of hyperlipidemia rat.2.Vitex can help the treatment of hyperlipidemia rats with higher level of TC,TC.LDL-C or a lower level of HDL-C in plasma,the more dose of vitex taken,the better effects achieved.It respectively reduces the index of TC,TG.LDL-C to a number of 17.25%,31.25%,38.38%;and an increased index of23.76%of the HDL-C number.3.Vitex can reduce hyperlipidemia rat of TC,TG in its liver by a level of 24.32%.19.46%.4.Either a higher or lower doses of vitex can help with treatment of high level AI of hyperlipidemia rat.5.high dose of Vitex glycosides can increase the level of SOD,GSH-Px in plasma of rats,and reduce the level of NO and MAD by a number of 17.32%.28.46%;the level of SOD.GSH-Px can be increase as much as 16.28%and 11.45%.And it indicates that vitex has a prominent effect of antioxidant in the body which might be an important physiological mechanism for the treatment of hyperlipidemia.6.Research showed that the vitex could improve fatty liver and prevent liver damage of hyperlipidemia rat.A similar characteristic of the VH liver biopsy after HE staining achieved when compared with that in the contrast group.In a word,vitex has a therapeutic effect on liver injury in rats induced by high-fat diet.7.Vitex could raise its gene express of CYP7A1 in the liver of hyperlipidemia rat.This exposes the molecular mechanism showing in the function hypolipidemic of of vitex.In order to see how does the Vitexin prevent against the experimental hyperlipidemia animal model,we set up hyperlipidemia animal model group(feed of fat emulsion every day and last for continuous 30d),vitexin prevention group(daily feed of fat emulsion and vitexin raw drug in 3,30mg/kg at the same time,nano powder for prevention,lasting for continuous 30d),positive contrast group(daily feed of fat emulsion and 8.4mg/kg simvastatin at the same time for prevention,lasting for continuous 30 d),normal contrast group(normal saline every day,same amount with milk volume,lasting for continuous 30d).Following is the conclusion:1.After 30days' prevention,the coefficient of liver in rats decreased respectively in each group.Moreover,either X or VH or VL can help the coefficient reaching to a normal level.Vitex do help with the prevention of higher TC,TG,LDL-C or a lower level of HDL-C of plasma of hyperlipidemia rats induced by high fat Compared with M,TC level is reduced dramatically in each group(P<0.05 or P<0.01);this could obviously be seen as well in TG level(P<0.01)when we compared VH and VL with M respectively;and LDL-C level reduced prominently when compared VH with M(P<0.05).2.Vitex glycosides can prevent a higher AI level of hyperlipidemia rats induced by high fat.And the level in each group reduced remarkably compared with M group(P<0,01).3.Vitex carries an ability of antioxidant in body.After 30 days' prevention,No level in each experimental group reduced differently compared with that of M group;the amount of MDA and ALT in plasma reduced when compared with that of in M group(P<0.01);the level of SOD in each group increased remarkably when compared with that in M group(P<0.05);the level of GSH-Px in plasma in each group increased differently when compared with that in M group;this can be more easily found in group X and VL due to the high level of GSH-Px(P<0.01).
