Human sleep behavior is influenced by many factors, more and more evidences show that, in addition to the light temperature and other factors, the polymorphism of some special genes can produce regulatory effects on human sleep. Sleep has a role to consolidate memory, the study found that the genetic factor in the performance of memory can't be ignored as well.Along with the development of electronic information technology, and the growing maturity of database technology, advanced computer technology is being used in the research of biological science. The existence of database management system makes it easy to manage all kinds of biological information. There are so many kinds of research tools and methods for sleep research, and related research data is varied, including EEG image data, sleep behavior information, FMRI data and other multiple forms. Whereas, there is not a good way to unified manage the data and information, a platform for storing and querying research information is needed. Under such background, the development of gene and sleep information management system is carried out.Aimed at the need for the study of acupuncture and sleep group in Xidian University, which refers to the effect of gene polymorphism on sleep behavior, intellect and memory,the study design and develop the genes sleep behavior information system with the function of inputing and managing the personal information of subjects, genetic information intelligence quotient information, memory quotient information, online sleep behavior assessment,integrated query. The system is based on the mode of browser / server structure, relying on the LAMP frame.This paper briefly introduces the key technologies used in the system development, including technical, operational, economic analysis, and based on the different needs of the system, the system is analyzed, and the relevant functional modules are designed and implemented. Then the concept design of database system and structure design of the main table are introduced. Subsequently, this study connects the MATLAB to the database, and constructs a platform with data analysis capability.Based on the genetic information, sleep behavior scale and memory information, using biological clock gene family(period),brain derived nerve neurotrophic factor(BDNF) gene and catechol-O-methyltransferase(COMT) gene,this study analysis the effect of PER gene polymorphism on sleep and the effect of BDNF and COMT gene on memory.The study shows that there are significant differences in the effect of PER1(rs7221412) gene polymorphisms on the sleep duration, and there is no significant difference in the effects of time types both of the working days and the rest days. There are no significant differences in the effect of PER2(rs2304672) gene and PER3(rs57875989) gene polymorphisms on the sleep duration and sleep types both of the working days and the rest days. Also, the difference between gene polymorphisms of COMT(rs4680) and scores of tactile test, associations tests score and memory quotient scores is not significant. The study proves that there are significant differences in the effect of BDNF(rs6265) gene polymorphisms on memory association test scores and tactile perception test score, whereas the scores of memory quotient does not exist significant differences. COMT(rs4680) and BDNF(rs6265) gene polymorphism had no interaction effect on the total score of memory, the scores of the association tests and the tactile tests.
