Objective: To provide objective basis for clinical streatments of diabetic foot(DF)patients with depression,by comparing of psychological status of DF patients and Type2 diabetic mellitus(T2DM)patients,exploring prevalence of depression,influcing factors and distribution of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome.Methods: The study was approved by the institutional research ethics committee of the air force general hospital.Based on the inclusive criteria,171 cases of DF from both hospital ward and changing medicine room for DF patients in TCM department and endocrinology department of the air force general hospital had been collected from June2013 to December 2013,another 120 cases T2 DM patients from hospital ward in TCM department and endocrinology department of the air force general hospital had been collected at the same time.To compare the psychological status by caculating the SCL-90 symptom checklist scores of DF and T2 DM patients.Some information of gender,age,personal history,family history,experimental data of all the patients were recorded.Informations were analyzed with frequency statistics method by SPSSl7.0statistical software.The holistic and part symptoms of 71 cases DF patients whose depression score is equal or greater than 2 were recorded and concluded to analysis their TCM syndrome of holistic and part by statistic frequencies.Results: 1.Somatization,depression,horror,psychoticism are of statistical significance in DF patients and T2 DM patients(p<0.05).The prevelence of depression in DF and T2 DM patients respectively are 41.52% and 27.5%.2.Gender,age,course of disease,fatty liver history,smoking history,treatment mothods,blood glucose and CRP are significantly related with DF patients who are depression(p<0.05).3.The main TCM syndrome types are Liver-qi stagnation and hotness and meat rot in part respectively which are with higher depression scores.The hotness and meat rot in part is the main TCM syndrome of Liver-qi stagnation.Conclusions: 1.DF patients usually suffer from obvious somatization disorders and negative emotions easily attach them,such as depression,horror and mental disorder.Obviously,the prevalence rate of DF is much higher than T2 DM.2.The high risk groups include the middle aged,the elderly,females,DF patients with prolonged DM or DM courses,fatty liver,smoking history,uncontrolled blood glucose,various means of reduce blood glucose,terrible infection,high level of inflamation,3.To generally recognize the DF patient,liver-qi stagnation is the main sign,while hotness and rotten meat of DF patient can be partially confirmed.The both signs actually influence each other.
