Object:Under the guidance of Constitution theory in TCM and based on the cross-sectional clinical investigation of male infertility patients, studying the distribution of the influence factors such as age, economic situation, type of work,Level of education of patients with infertility. In this way, we discuss the characteristics of the TCM constitution of Male infertility and the relationship between Male infertility and the influence factors, Further more, we can have a further discussion of the degree of the correlation between Male infertility and Qiyu physique. Thus to provide a proof for clinicians attaching importance to the relationship between Male infertility and Qiyu physique and establishing a more reasonable corresponding therapeutic.Method:Through clinical epidemiological investigation,we invited patients with male infertility who is seeing a doctor in Urologic Surgery Clinic of Hubei Provincial Of TCM and the National physician hall of Hubei University Of TCM,giving the Chinese constitution standardized questionnaire made by Association of Chinese medicine and homemade related factors questionnaire to evaluate. All data were analysised by SPSS 19.0to discuss the relationship between related factors,TCMconstitutional types and male infertility, and then we study the degree of correlation between Male infertility and Qiyu physique by logistics regression.Results:(1)A total of 370 cases were investigated, and 370 cases in the control group, recycling questionnaire 740 cases,The recovery rate of the questionnaire was 100%.Among them,368 cases were effective questionnaires, 365 questionnaires were returned to the control group, the total effective rate was99.05%.(2)General information of casesIn the subject,we collected 368 cases of male infertility patients, of whom the youngest is 22 years old, the biggest is43 years old.Of all the patients we invited, the age range of31-35 years old is of the highest prevalence rate,of which is38%.The incidence rate of patients with higher education is the highest, the higher the degree of education of the patients, the prevalence rate increases.Of all the patients of male infertility,61.7% of them do mental work. The incidence rate of male infertility was higher in the patients who are overweight. The rate is about 40%. Of all the cases, the patients of oderate economic level has the highest prevalence rate, the rate is about 44.5%.(3)Comparison of general information between the case group and the control group. The average age of the case group is 31.3±11.68,and the average age of the control group is 30.8±12.34.The age without difference between the case group and control group was statistically significant(t=4.378,P=0.942).The comparisonof the type of occupation between the two group was of no statistically significant difference by chi square test(X2=3.047,P=0.405).Because of the body size, education level, economic situation are hierarchical data, the non parametric Wilcoxon test was used. The results showed statistically significant differences in body size(Z=-4.374,P=0.000) and economic situation(Z=-3.597,P=0.000). No statistically significant differences in the degree of culture(Z=-0.896,P=0.503).(4)The distribution of TCM Constitution of the case group and the control groupIn order of decreasing percentage, the range was qi deficiency constitution, qi depression constitution, yang deficiency constitution,dampness-heat constitution, blood stasis constitution,phlegm-dampness constitution, yin deficiency constitution, normal constitution, the specific endowment constitution. The two groups were significant differences in the distribution of TCM constitution(X2=127.626,P=0.000).(5)The risk constitution and protect constitution of male infertilityBy single factor Logistic regression analysis,we find qi deficiency constitution,qi depression constitution, yang deficiency constitution, dampness-heat constitution were risk factors for male infertility.According to the numerical value of Exp(B),the effect of four kinds of risk constitution of male infertility are qi deficiency constitution,qi depression constitution, yang deficiency constitution and then down dampness-heat constitution. And yin deficiencyconstitution, normal constitution were protective factors.By stepwise regression analysis of multiple factors,qi deficiency constitution,qi depression constitution, yang deficiency constitution,dampness-heat constitution, yin deficiency constitution, normal constitution enter regression model, test of goodness of fit of the model shows: X2 =6.431,P=0.013,it prompt the established regression model fitting is good. The rate of accurate prediction of regression model was 74.8%.Qi deficiency constitution,qi depression constitution, yang deficiency constitution and then down dampness-heat constitution were risk constitution of male infertility, yin deficiency constitution, normal constitution were protective factors of male infertility.Conclusion:1.Such factors as age, body size, economic status, TCM occupation type proved certain correlation with male infertility, which provide the basis for clinical intervention of male infertility patients.2.Through discussing the relationship between physique and male infertility, establish qi deficiency constitution,qi depression constitution, yang deficiency constitution,dampness-heat constitution were risk factors of male infertility from the perspective of TCM constitution, which enrich the pathogenesis theory of male infertility.3?The research proves that the constitution of traditional Chinese medicine has an important effect on the pathogenesis of male infertility, which has the guiding significance for the prevention and treatment of male infertility.
