Comparative Analysis Of Drug Treatment Of Schizophrenia In Different Decades

Objective: To investigate the changes of antipsychotic prescriptions in schizophrenia in different decades, including the general information of patients, types and doses of antipsychotic drugs, combined with antipsychotics and other drugs changes, provide reference for rational drug use.Method: By using retrospective random sampling study method in a psychiatric hospital medical record room select 60 cases in 1980, 60 cases in 1990, 72 cases in 2000, 72 cases in 2010. Use self-made questionnaire to collect the cases of general information and drug use situation, then use the statistical analysis was performed using SPSS18.0.Results:(1) In antipsychotic monotherapy(APM) treatment plan, ratio of first generation antipsychotics(FGA) and second generation antipsychotics(SGA) has significant difference between decades. In antipsychotic polypharmacy(APP) treatment plan, ratio of FGA+FGA, FGA+SGA, SGA+SGA has significant difference.(2) The maximum equivalent dose of antipsychotic drug(APD) was gradually decreased with the change of decades. The maximum equivalent dose of APP was significantly higher than that of the APM in different decades. In the APM treatment plan, the maximum dose of clozapine was decreased with change over time.(3) Between the different decades, total combined medication has significant difference. In different decades, anticholinergic drugs, hepatinica drugs, leukogenic drugs, antidepressants drugs and mood stabilizers drugs were significantly different.Conclusion:(1)FGA have been replaced by SGA with the time gone.(2) The maximum equivalent dose of APD was gradually decreased with the change of decades. In four years, APP maximum equivalent dose always higher than APM maximum equivalent dose.(3) The use of antidepressants and mood stabilizers in the treatment of schizophrenia patients was increased year by year.
