ObjectivesTo understand the sleep and life quality of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease patiens with sleep disorders. Observe the effect of external counterpulsation therapy on quality of sleep and life in patients.And to verify the effect of external counterpulsation therapy on coronary heart disease patients with sleep disorders. MethodsThis study is a quasi-experimental study. Select 42 cases of CAD with sleep disorder as the observation group in a heart internal medicine ward of third grade class-A hospital in Zhengzhou with a purposive sampling method, and matching 42 cases of CAD with sleep disorder patients as control group. The patients of Control group received routine treatment and nursing of coronary heart disease, sleep health related health education else. On this basis the observation group recieve external counterpulsation therapy. The two groups were observed under the similar treatment and sleep environment. Use the general information questionnaire, Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale and questionnaire of coronary heart disease life quality survey and assessment before the intervention, intervention for 1 month, and the end of the intervention. Entering and analysis the date with SPSS20.0. Statistical methods include: descriptive statistical analysis, chi square test, independent samples t test, non parametric test and repeated measurement analysis of variance, ?=0.05 as the test level. Results1.The results of sleep quality before the intervention. Total of 84 patients were involved end. Which include 42.86% of men, 57.14% of women, the average age was 58.32 ±7.28. The scores of sleep quality all CAD patients is 1.98±0.60, and 64.29% patients in the moderate level. Sleep time score are 1.42±0.50, 41.67% of patients in the moderate level; sleep efficiency score was 0.93±0.67, and 80.95% patients in mild level; sleep disorder scores were 1.85±0.45, and 80.95% patients in moderate level; the score of hypnotic drug used was 0.70±0.69,and 91.67% of the patients in the mild level; daytime function score was 2.20±0.53, 66.67% of the patients in the moderate level. The total score of Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI) is 11.31±2.02. Score higher than the domestic adult PSQI survey, sleep quality is poor.2. The results of life quality before the intervention show that, the mean score of physiological function is 28.82±4.84, the mean score of psychological function is 34.24±5.11, the mean score of social supports is 45.58±4.74.The average score of total quality of life was 139.86±10.81.3. Before the intervention compared with baseline data of the two groups showed that there is no statistical significant difference in gender, age, marital status, education, occupational, monthly income, medical mode, Percutaneous coronary interventional therapy postoperative period and other general demographic data, and there is no statistical significanceategories in the sleep and life quality of two groups.4.The results of Pittsburgh sleep quality index. Compare the scores of before the intervention, one month in intervention and after the intervention show that factors of sleep quality, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, daytime function and PSQI score are statistical significance on time factor. Express PSQI scores of and six dimension scores were decreased over time.Compare the scores between two groups show that factors of sleep quality, sleep time, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, daytime function and PSQI score are had statistical significance in different time.PSQI total score and 6 dimension scores were decreased in different degrees under different intervention mode.The interaction of sleep quality, sleep time, sleep disorder and PSQI score in three time points was the interaction of time factor and grouping factor(P<0.05). There was no statistical difference(P>0.05) between the observation group and the control group in the using of hypnotic drugs at three time points.5.Results of life quality show:the scores of physiological function, psychological function, coronary heart disease specific index and life quality total score are higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). There was no difference between the two groups in social function(P>0.05). Conclusions1. The quality of sleep and life is poor in CAD, and there is a certain correlation between sleep and life quality in sleep disorders.2. External counterpulsation therapy can improve the sleep quality of CAD patients effectively. External counterpulsation therapy can improve the symptoms of the disease, and improve the quality life of CAD patients.
