Objective: The present study was aimed to explore the effects of Aerobic Exercise Combined with Extracts from Angelica Dahurica, and Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae on early diabetic rats, by observing Glucose(GLU), Insulin(INS), Homeostasis Model Assessment(HOMA-IR), Total Cesterol(TC), NADPH oxidases(NOXs), Reactive Oxygen Species(ROS), superoxide dismutase(SOD) and malondialdehyde(MDA), and to provide some experimental foundation and theoretical basis for the treatment of diabetis.Methods: 1. 0.5g/ml of extracts solution from 1000 g Angelica Dahurica and Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae was prepared, by using 75% of ethanol circumfluence and concentration.2. 50 male SD rats fed with high fat and sugar were used for the model of diabetis, and 20mg/kg streptozotocin(STZ) was applied to induce type 2 disbetis. Then 38 T2DM rats were randomly divided into4 groups: group B(diabetes control group), group C(medicine group), group D(medicine group), group E(medicine group combined with exercise group); Another 10 rats with normal nutrition was designated as group A(normal control group).The levels of GLU, INS, TC, NOXS, ROS, SOD and MDA were observed and analyzed before and after Aerobic Exercise, with the total period of 8 weeks.Result:1. The diabetic group(group B) comparing to the healthy control group(group A) was significant differences in the level of GLU, INS, HOMA-IR, TC, NOXs, ROS, and MDA(P<0.05 or P<0.01), SOD activity reduced(P < 0.05);2.(Group C) experiment, T2DM rats SOD activity were increased(P<0.05), the content of GLU, INS,HOMA-IR, TC, NOXs, MDA was considerately declined, compared with group B set of indicators change significantly, with statistical significance(P<0.05 or P < 0.01);3. The Angelica dahurica and Radix achyranthis bidentatae(group D), T2DM rats SOD activity were increased(P<0.05), the content of GLU, INS, HOMA-IR, TC, NOXs, MDA was considerately declined,compared with group B set of indicators change significantly, with statistical significance(P<0.05 or P <0.01);4. The aerobic exercises and Angelica dahurica and Radix achyranthis bidentatae(group E), comparing to group B or group C was significant differences in the level of GLU, INS, HOMA-IR, TC, NOXs, ROS,MDA(P<0.05 or P<0.01) in both group.Conclusion:1. Extract of Angelica and Achyranthes may play an important role in keeping hypoglycemic, improving glycometabolism, and enhancing antioxidant activity.2. There was obvious improvements of glycometabolism and antioxidant activity when aerobic exercise combined with extracts from Angelica Dahurica, and Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae.
