Objective: This paper aims to detect the levels of cancer antigen 125(CA 125)and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA 19-9)in patients with ovarian endometrioma(OEM),discuss their values in auxiliary diagnosis, investigate their relations with staging, dysmenorrhea and infertility of ovarian endometrioma.Further, analyze the clinical significance of serum CA 125 and CA19-9.Method: Totally the Second Hospital of Dalian Medical University received 114 hospitalized patients who were confirmed to have the ovarian endometrioma after laparoscopy treatment from January 1,2014 to December 31,2015.Criteria for exclusive cases were: medical records were missing, including obstetrical history;patients who didn't take serum CA 125 and CA 19-9 after admission;patients with other ovarian tumors and uterine adenomyosis, etc.Among those patients,103 had the value to be studied.Related data should be collected.Sorted the patients into 4 groups according to the r-AFS Method proposed by American Society for Reproductive Medicine in 1997: patients in stage I(4 cases),in stage II(19 cases),in stage III(56 cases),in stage IV(24 cases).Sorted the patients by dysmenorrhea history: patients without dysmenorrhea(40 cases)and patients with dysmenorrhea(63 cases).Sorted the patients by infertility history(excluded the patients who didn't have sex experience): patients without infertility(81 cases)and patients with infertility(11 cases). On the other side, selected 103 healthy women which were from outpatient department or physical examination center of the same hospital and same period as the control group. It had no statistical significance for the different ages and genders between OEM patient group and control group.Direct chemiluminescence method was adopted to detect the serum CA125 level and serum CA19-9 level. All the statistical data were statistically analyzed by the software SPSS 13.0.Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test,Kruskal-Wallis Test,Least Significant Difference Methods and Chi-Square Test were adopted, respectively.Median and interquartile ranges were used for statistical description. The inspection standard ? were 0.05.When P was lower than ?,the difference was considered to havethe statistical significance.Results:1.The median range of getting ovarian endometrioma was 35 years old,and the interquartile range of getting the disease was 15 years old.2.It had statistical significance for the level differences of serum CA125 and CA19-9 between OEM patient group and control group(P<0.05).The joint detection of serum CA 125 and CA 19-9 was more efficient to detect ovarian endometrioma than single detection,of which difference had statistical significance(P<0.05).3.It had statistical significance to study the differences of serum CA 125 levels among the patients with ovarian endometrioma in various stages(P<0.05).Further study showed: it couldn't be considered to have statistical significance to study the differences of serum CA 125 levels between patients in stage I & stage II,patients in stage I & III,patients in stage I & IV and patients in stage II & III(P>0.05).But it had statistical significance to study the difference of serum CA 125 level between patients in stage II & stage IV,and patients in stage III & stage IV(P<0.05).So we came to a conclusion that patients in stage IV saw an obvious rise in the serum CA 125 level.4.It had statistical significance to study the differences of serum CA 19-9 levels among the patients with ovarian endometrioma in various stages(P<0.05).Further study showed: it couldn't be considered to have statistical significance to study the differences of serum CA 125 levels between patients in stage I & stage II,patients in stage I & III,patients in stage I & IV,patients in stage II & III and patients in stage III & IV(P>0.05).But it had statistical significance to study the difference of serum CA 19-9 level between patients in stage II & stage IV(P<0.05).5.It couldn't be considered as statistical significance to study whether the patients with ovarian endometrioma had dysmenorrhea and sterility or not(P>0.05).6.For patients with ovarian endometrioma in stage IV: serum CA 125 level of person with infertility was higher than that of person without infertility,of which the difference had statistical significance(P<0.05);the difference of CA 19-9 levels between person with infertility and person without infertility couldn't be considered to have statistical significance(P>0.05);the differences of CA 19-9 levels and CA 125 levels between person with dysmenorrhea and person without dysmenorrhea couldn't be considered to have statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusions: 1.Ovarian endometrioma mainly occurs in the child-bearing age and rarely in the puberty and menopause age.The median range of getting the ovarian endometrioma is 35 years old.2.The levels of serum CA 125 and CA 19-9 can be used as auxiliary diagnosis indicators to diagnose ovarian endometrioma. The joint detection can determine the disease more accurately.3.The serum CA 125 level of patient with ovarian endometriosis rises with the staging of endometriosis.Serum CA 125 levels of patients in stage I – III are almost normal or slightly higher, but an obvious rise can be detected in stage IV.4.The serum CA 19-9 level of patient with ovarian endometrioma rises with the staging of endometriosis.5.The typical clinical symptoms(dysmenorrhea and infertility)have no direct influence on the levels of serum CA 125 and serum CA19-9 for patients with ovarian endometrioma.6.For the patient with ovarian endometrioma in stage IV,the higher the serum CA 125 level is,the more likely she will become infertile.
