Cognitive Function In Patients With Epilepsy In The Effect Of Empathy Ability

Objective : Research on cognitive and empathy ability damage in patients with epilepsy and their mutual relations.Methods:Collected from March 2015 to January 2016 in the first hospital affiliated to dalian medical university neurology expert clinic on 18-65 years old with idiopathic and hidden source sex epilepsy patients,a total of 82 cases.Normal control group from outpatient service of hospitalized patients with patients' families and escort personnel,a total of 90 cases.Using Hamilton anxiety,Hamilton depression scale excluded patients with severe anxiety,depression,Montreal cognitive assessment scale version in Beijing,Chinese human reaction pointer scale of epilepsy group and the control group of cognitive function and empathy ability score,comparison between epilepsy group and control group and empathy ability of different cognitive function,and epilepsy group of different type of attack,attack frequency,duration and other factors on cognitive function and the effect of empathy ability,and further used statistical methods to analyze the influence of the cognitive function of empathy ability.Results:1.Epilepsy patients empathy scores,cognitive empathy and MoCA score significantly lower than the normal control group,P < 0.05;Emotional empathy scores two groups have no difference.2.As long as there is the overall stiffness matrix of twin attacks epilepsy group cognitive empathy and MoCA score than overall stiffness clonus group significantly decreased,P < 0.05;Empathy scores and emotional empathy in the two groups has no difference.And regardless of overall stiffness clonus attack,MoCA score and cognitiveempathy has positive correlation.3.The empathy with complex partial seizure group total score,cognitive empathy and MoCA score less complex partial seizure group significantly decreased,P < 0.05;Emotional empathy in the two groups has no difference.Complex partial seizure,complex partial seizure groups of patients in MoCA scores associated with all cognitive empathy,and share the feeling and emotional empathy total score no correlation.4.Only total stiffness matrix of patients with a twin attacks only patients with complex partial seizure,only complex partial seizure patients with partial onset seizures secondary comprehensive group of their cognitive empathy,emotional empathy,empathy scores and there was no statistically significant difference MoCA score.And partial onset seizures secondary attack overall group compared with patients only total stiffness matrix twin attacks,their cognitive empathy and MoCA score difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.The high frequency group of people with epilepsy in MoCA scores,empathy scores and cognitive empathy scores were lower than that of low frequency group of people with epilepsy,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Emotional empathy scores in there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups.Regardless of the seizure frequency group,cognition and cognitive empathy have correlation.6.Long duration of groups of people with epilepsy in MoCA scores,total score on empathy and cognitive empathy scores were lower than short duration group of people with epilepsy,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Emotional empathy scores in there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups.And regardless of the length of the course,cognition and cognitive empathy has positive correlation.7.MoCA high score group of people with epilepsy empathy scores,cognitive empathy compared with MoCA score lower group of people with epilepsy,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Emotional empathy scores in there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups.Conclusion:1.People with epilepsy are widespread cognition and empathy ability is impaired,empathy ability mainly for cognitive empathy is damaged.2.Different kinds of attack,attack frequency and length of the course of the disease on cognitive and empathy are affected.Among them with great high,complex partial seizure,seizure frequency and duration long significant influence on it.3.People with epilepsy of cognition and cognitive empathy has a positive correlation,namely cognitive ability,the better,its cognitive empathy ability is,the better.
