Objective:to discuss the effect of type 2 diabetes complicated with subclinical hypothyroidism on the microvascular complication.Methods:280 cases of type 2 diabetic patient were divided into simple diabetes group(group DM,228 cases)and diabetes complicated with subclinical hypothyroidism(group SCH,52 cases)according to whether the patients had a complication of subclinical hypothyroidism, meanwhile, according to the difference in TSH interval, the group SCH was subdivided into group SCH1(4.2?TSH?10u IU/ml,45cases)and SCH2(TSH?10u IU/ml,7 cases),the patients' gender, age, illness course, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, body mass index, fasting blood glucose,cholesterol,triglyceride,high-density lipoprotein,low-density lipoprotein, glycosylated hemoglobin,thyroid-stimulating hormone, urine protein/creatinine and other indexes had been respectively recorded, the fundus examination had been perfected, the inter-group difference had been compared, the correlation between subclinical hypothyroidism and diabetic nephropathy and diabetic retinopathy had been analyzed. Results: The TC,LDL and TSH of group SCH were higher than that of group DH,the incidence of renal disease of group SCH1 and SCH2 was equally higher than that of group DM,of which the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while the incidence of renal disease of group SCH2 was higher than that of group SCH1,of which the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the difference in retinopathy between group SCH1 and DM was not statistically significant(P>0.05),the incidence of retinopathy of group SCH2 was elevated as compared with group DM,meanwhile,it was also higher than that of group SCH1,of which the difference was equally statistically significant(P<0.05);it was shown by the Logistic regression analysis that, subclinical hypothyroidism was the risk factor of diabetic nephropathy and diabetic retinopathy. Conclusion:The incidence of diabetic nephropathy of the patients with type 2 diabetes complicated with subclinical hypothyroidism was significantly elevated, while the diabetic patients having a high-level TSH were at a higher risk of diabetic retinopathy;subclinical hypothyroidism was the risk factor of development of microangiopathy in type 2 diabetic patients.
