Objective: To find the correlation among patients' gender, eye identify, medical imaging grade, calcification and lens-involvement in retinoblastoma (RB)patients by using CT examination and image post-processing software;and observe the correlation among intraocular pressure, ocular volume change, and medical image performances. In order to further explore the value of CT in the diagnosis of RB.Methods:1 General information and grouping-120 RB patients cases(150 eyes),who were diagnosed by pathological examinations in Hebei Provincial Eye Hospital were included in the current study from September 2009 to October 2015.According to its imaging staging, they were divided into four groups: intraocular stage group(total 98 eyes;tumor calcification,87 eyes,lens-involvement,27 eyes),glaucoma stage group(total 37 eyes;tumor calcification,34 eyes,lens-involvement,24 eyes),extraocular stage group(total 11 eyes;tumor calcification,10 eyes,lens-involvement,9 eyes),and Distant metastases stage group(total 4 eyes;tumor calcification,3 eyes,lens-involvement,3 eyes).2 CT scanning and data post-processing-Orbital cross-sectional CT thin scanning(slice thickness,2mm;slice gap,2mm),soft-tissue algorithm Reconstruction(window width,250HU;window level,50HU).Calcification volume and ocular volume were measured using Siemens Volume software.3 Statistical analysis-The data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 Software. The CRV/EV amonge gender,right/left eyes, age, medical image stages were analyzed using rank-sum test. The line correlation between lens-involvement and gender,right/left eyes, age, medical image stages in RB patients were analyzed using chi-square test. The correlation between lens-involvement and gender,right/left eyes, age, medical image stages were analyzed using logistics regression analysis.Results:1 No statistical difference in CRV/EV was found in different gender and eyes in intraocular stage group.Statistical difference in CRV/EV was found in different age groups of intraocular stage group.Using post hoc multiple comparisons, the calcification in one-year old patients were lower than two-year old patients; The calcification in one-year old patients were lower than three-year old patients; The calcification in one-year old patients were lower than zero-year old patients. There was statistical difference between male and female in glaucoma stage group;which female was higher than male. And also there was statistical difference between right and left eye sin glaucoma stage group;which right eyes are higher than left eyes.No statistical difference in CRV/EV was found among different ages in glaucoma stage groups. No statistical difference in CRV/EV was found between intraocular and glaucoma stage groups.2 With the increasing of eyeball volume, intraocular pressure increased, glaucoma intraocular pressure was positively related with ocular volume statistically.3 There was no correlation between lens-involvement and gender and right/left eyes in RB patients. There was correlation between lensinvolvement and medical image stages;lens-involvement always happened in RB patients of extraocular stage group, and distant metastases stage group.According to the logistics regression analysis, the probability of lens-involvement in glaucoma stage group was 4.643 times higher than in intraocular stage group;the probability of lens-involvement in extraocular stage group stage group was 18.956 times higher than in intraocular stage group.Conclusions:1 The calcification degree in RB patients was increasing when the patients were in intraocular and glaucoma stage.A low incidence of tumor calcification was found in one-year old patients in intraocular stage.2 When CT was used, the changes of intraocular pressure can be evaluated by the regression equation using intraocular pressure and eyeball volume,y?=-33.172 + 9.959 x.3 Lens-involvement in patients can be impacted by age and imaging stages. There could be geometric time increases in lens-involvement when the RB patients were in intraocular stage group, glaucoma stage group, extraocular stage group.
