Correlation Analysis Of Red Blood Cell Distribution Width And The Prognosis After Embolization For Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

Objective: To study the correlation between red blood cell distribution width and the prognosis after embolization for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.SelectionMethods: Patients who presented to neurosurgery of our hospital with aneurysmubarachnoid hemorrhage were performed stent assisted embolization of intracranial aneurysm.We collected patients' age,gender,blood pressure status,smoking,diabetes and red blood cells,white blood cells,fibrinogen,creatinine,red blood cell distribution width and other laboratory results.On grouping of patients,patients were divided into into good prognosis group and poor prognosis group according to the results of the mRS score.A total of 64 cases,with a score between 3-6,were included into good prognosis group,16 cases with a score under 2 were included in poor prognosis group.Analysis of the correlation between red blood cell distribution width and disease progression in patients was conducted by comparing the base of population data and laboratory test results.Results: The prognosis of RDW in patients with poor prognosis group was significantly higher compared with good prognosis group(P<0.05),the poor prognosis group had significantly higher average age,higher hypertension prevalence rate,higher WBC and higher Fg All results had significant difference by statistical analysis(P<0.05);on the logistic regression analysis,patients' age,the WBC,Fg and RDW were significantly associated with poor prognosis score(P<0.05).Conclusion: Red blood cell distribution width is related to the aneurysm embolization of postoperative patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage prognosis.Its value rises in patients with poor prognosis,so its implication as a judge index of prognosis after surgery for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage is rather promising.
