ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to investigate the situation of anxiety,depression and quality of life of nurses in Jinzhou,to explore the relationship between them and to provide theoretical evidence for nursing managers to take effective measures to alleviate anxiety and depression of nurse so as to improve their quality of lives.MethodsThis study is a descriptive study using random sampling method,in March 2014-11 months,220 community hospitals in Jinzhou City,880 nu rsing staff for the investigation of the questionnaire survey.Instruments of this study included four parts:the first part was the general questionnaires which collect background information from nurses;second part was the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)which was used to measure anxiety of nurse s;thirdly was the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)which was used to measure depression of nurses;fourth part was the MOS item short fromhe alth survey(SF-36)which was used to scale the quality of life of them.Th e collected data were analyzed by statistical package SPSS21.0.Statistical methods included descriptive statistics,analysis of variance,Pearson correl ation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.ResultsThis study investigated 880 community nurses in Jinzhou.800 questio nnaires can be used among 880 questionnaires,90.9% efficiency question naire.1.The total score from the anxiety of community nurses was 46.00±13.80(20~78).There were 212 nurses(26.5%)with slight anxiety,116 nurs es(14.5%)with moderate anxiety,28 nurses(3.5%)with severe anxiety am ong these nurses.Anxiety scores for nurses were significantly different alo ng with different age groups,monthly incomes,education levels,professio nal titles and years of working.2.The total score of depression was 54.30±14.17(31~94).There were148 nurses(18.5%)with slight depression,120 nurses(15.5%)with moderat e depression,106 nurses(13.3%)with severe depression among these nur ses.There were statistically significant differences of depression among ag e groups,monthly incomes,professional titles and years of working(P<0.05).No significant differences was found between education levels(P>0.05)3.The total mean score of quality of life was 64.95±7.65(44~84).Am ong the various dimensions of life scale,the highest score was Role-Phys ical(77.28±24.68),and the lowest score was the Mental Health(51.51±14.99).There were significant differences between differern age groups,monthly incomes,professional titles and years of working(P<0.05).No significant di fferences was found between education levels(P>0.05).4.The relation between anxiety and quality of life was negatively corre lated(r=-0.336,P<0.05).The relation between depression and quality of life was negatively correlated(r=-0.348,P<0.05).The relation between anxiety an d depression was positively correlated(r=0.344,P<0.05).5.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that influencing factors on nurses’ quality of life include professional titles,monthly incomes,anxiety and depression.Among these factors,monthly incomes and professional titl es can positively predict nurses’ quality of life,anxiety and depression can negatively predict nurses’ quality of life.These variables could explain 32.1% of quality of life.Conclusions1.There existed high prevalence of anxiety and depression disorders and more importance should be paid on this phenomenon.2.There was relationship between anxiety,depression level and their living quality of nurses,which meant that nurses with anxiety and depression have rather worse quality of life.3.Single-factor analysis of variance and regression analysis conclude that nurses’ quality of life was influenced by professional titles,monthly incomes,anxiety and depression.Nurses with higher professional titles,higher monthly incomes,lower level of anxiety,lower level of depression would have higher level of quality of life.
