Impact Of Health Education Based Skinner Teaching Theory On The Physiacal And Psychological State Among Discharged Cancer Patients With PICC

Abstract/Summary:
Objective: Skinner teaching theory was applied to the health education of PICC catheter patients,resulting in a unified health education programs and methods.This health education model was analyzed and evaluated the impact on the physiacal and psychological state among discharged Patients,and has important reference value to clinical health education for future.Method: Convenience sampling method was applied in selecting patients which were the first application of PICC and outpatient hospital care specialist maintenance of PICC in an oncology of one tertiary level hospital Changzhou City during 2015.01 ~ 2015.06.Patients were randomly were randomized into experimental and control groups,in accordance with the inclusion criteria to select patients,and ultimately determine the experimental group 81 cases,84 cases in the control group.The control group of patients followed conventional health education,and Skinner teaching program and strengthen health education theory was applied to the experimental group.All patients were followed up for 4 cycles of chemotherapy.During the intervention and post-intervention,groups were collected general information,catheter maintenance information,self-management ability,quality of life,anxiety,self-rating scale questionnaires to observe PICC catheter-related complications.All data were analyzed using SPSS18.0 statistical software.Result:1 each dimension scores of self-management skills: After the intervention,the scores and total scores of the four dimensions of the experimental group that included daily observation of the catheter,catheter management confidence catheter exception handling,sports with a pipe in the two groups of patients were higher than those of the control group,the difference was significant(P<0.01).The two dimensions of Catheter maintaining compliance and Everyday life with pipe difference in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group,the difference was significant(P<0.05).Catheter maintenance,access to information was no significant difference(P> 0.05).After the intervention,the self-management skills of the two groups of patients in the experimental group was significantly better than those in the control group,the difference was significant(P<0.01).2 The experimental group and control group scores of quality of life scale of the core dimensions after intervention: The functional dimension of the experimental group scored significantly better than the control group scores(P <0.05),especially in physical function,role function,emotional function and overall health scores were significantly different(P<0.01);The fatigue individual scores of symptoms dimension in the experimental group was lower than those in the control group,the difference was significant(P<0.05).That score of other symptoms was no significant difference(P>0.05).3 After the intervention,the anxiety and the incidence of in the experimental group were better than those in the control group,the difference was significant(P<0.01).4 PICC catheter-related complications in 33 patients,two groups of indwelling PICC tumors occur during the four cycles of chemotherapy(intervention period),accounting for 20.00% of the total number of research objects.The experimental group had 9.88 % of catheter-related Complications and control group was 29.76%.The overall incidence of catheter-related complications and the number of cases in the experimental group after the intervention were lower than those in the control group,the difference was significant(P<0.01).5 Two groups of patients,the number of catheter-dimensional delay and frequency in the experimental group after the intervention were lower than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion: The Skinner teaching theory in discharged cancer patients with PICC catheter tube of health education could improve self-care ability of patients,quality of life,reduce anxiety of patients and the incidence of PICC catheter-related complications,and improve patient compliance catheter maintenance,has good efficacy in Maintaining good the physiacal and psychological state in discharged cancer patients.
