ObjectiveIn the development and maintain of atrial fibrillation, it is the atrial structural remodeling and electrical remodeling that take great part in. Our aim is to discover the expression change and associated studies of DNMT3A and Kv1.5 in patients with rheumatic heart disease and atrial fibrillation.MethodsPatients with rheumatic heart disease and atrial fibrillation were enrolled while hypertension, diabetes, angina and CRF patients were excluded. Patients were divided into two group depend on whether have atrial fibrillation. ELISA and western blot were used to detect the expression of DNMT3A and Kv1.5 in atrial tissues.ResultsColor doppler echocardiography showed LAD, RAD, LVDD in AF group is higher than SR group while LVEF is lower in AF group. DNMT3A is up-regulated in AF group while down-regulated in SR group. Kvl.5 is down-regulated in AF group and up-regulated in SR group.ConclusionThere is a negative relationship between DNMT3A and Kvl.5 which suggest that DNMT3 A may play a role in the regulation of Kv1.5 channel protein.
