Objective: To know about the external exposure level of the priority pollutant of the environmental medium in the heavy metal pollution control area and the inner exposure level of the children in school. And to observe how the damaging degree of heavy mental pollution of the environment influence the children's renal function in the early stage, the physical development and the neurobehavioral ability of intelligence.Knowing the things above is to evaluate the potential of the local students' health being damaged by the heavy metal.Method: Choose a prefecture-level city of Hubei Province which is the national prevention and control area with the industrial heavy metal pollution in the history as the pollution area to observe;choose another area without heavy metal pollution as contrast area of the similar characteristic.Detect the lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium content of air, water source, food crops and soil environment, meanwhile choose 8 ~ 12 years old children as the research object for measuring the contents of heavy metals in the urine and the whole blood, the level of ?2-MG?RBP which are the early effective indexes which reflect the renal function as well as surveying the children physical development situation and neural intelligent ability;adopt the software of SPSS17.0 to analyze if there is some statistically differences in various indexes between polluted area and contrast area as well as the correlation between the explosion level of the environmental heavy metal and the early effect index changes of the children renal function.Result: The lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium content in the air and soil of pollution area is higher than that of the contrast area;the chromium level in drinking water of pollution area is higher than that of the contrast area;the chromium in rice and the cadmium in rapeseed of pollution zone exceed the stipulated limiting value of national standard;the chromium, lead content in children urine and four elements content inblood of pollution area are both higher than that of the contrast area, and the indexes level of renal function in the urine is significantly higher than that of the contrast area(p<0.05);urinary chromium and urinary lead have correlation with ?2-MG,RBP(p<0.05).However,the level of physical development and mental ability of the children in the two areas are close, the difference has no statistic significance. Conclusion: Heavy metal elements in the polluted areas have caused pollution to the soil, air and water partly, and have the potential to cause the change of human body heavy metal load levels by the food chain which may lead to some change in early effect indicators of renal function.
