Objective This study aimed at exploring the risk factor for IPH.And to provide references for the study about the etiopathogenisis and pathogenesy of IPH.Methods A 1:1 case-cntrol study design was used with 52 cases of IPH, which were first diagnosed and treated in our hospital during 2009 January to 2015 January. The factors we studied includes their basic informations, past history, family history, diets, inhabited environment, and so on, and 52 controls matched on age and sex. Each case and control were interviewed with his/her parents or guardians by the same interviewer using a special questionnaire through phone calls or face to face. The risk factors were made and analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 in a computer.Results1.52 IPH children were enrolled, with the sex ratio of male to female was 1.36:1,and the midian stage of onset was 49 months. The percentage of patients in spring, summer, autumn and winter was 34.6%,25.0%,26.9%and 13.5%. There was no statistical differences between two groups in the aspect of the immature labor, uterine-incision delivery, secondhand smoking, chemical plant around, new house or new fitments in recent 3 years and living in rural areas(P>0.05).2. Agricultural chemicals exposure, poor-protein diets and frequent respiratory infections were risk factors.3.In IPH group,3 cases were diagnosed autoimmune diseases before, 2 cases had allergic history, and 3 cases had a family malignancy history in second degree relative. However, the control group was negative. Conclusion The etiopathogenisis and pathogenesy of IPH are not very clear, but agricultural chemicals exposure, poor-protein diets and frequent respiratory infections may correlate to IPH in children.
