[Objective]To analyze the distribution and aggregation of metabolic syndrome(MS)and its components in residents of Zhejiang Province, analysis the nutrition status of vitamin D in residents of Zhejiang Province, explore the epidemiology relationship between serum vitamin D and MS or its components,to provide research approach and theoretical foundation for the control and prevention of MS.[Methods]The data was from China National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey during 2010-2012,questionnaire survey, physical examination and laboratory detection were used to obtain the data.NCEP-ATP? was used to diagnose the MS for 5408 adults in Zhejiang Province when we analyzed the prevalence of metabolic syndrome, factor analysis was used to analyze the aggregation of MS,radioimmunoassay was used to detect the concentration of serum vitamin D of 718 adults,Pearson Correlation and Logistic Regression were used to explore the epidemiology relationship between serum vitamin D and MS or its components.[Results]1.The average age of 5408 objects(2532 men,2876 women)was 53.36,we extracted four factors, including Obesity Factor(WC,BMI and TG),Lipid Factor(TC,HDL-C and TG),Blood Pressure Factor(SBP and DBP)and Blood Glucose Factor(2h-PG and FBG).2.There were 1498 adults diagnosed as MS,the crude prevalence of MS,hypertension, abdominal obesity, hypertriglyceride, hyperglycemia and low HDL-C were 27.72%?44.41%?37.62%?33.77%?30.19%and 28.76%respectively,the standardized prevalence were 20.08%?30.16%?31.91%?30.87%?23.24%and 29.95%respectively.3.The average concentration of serum vitamin in 718 residents was 24.29±9.54 ng/ml,the ratios of vitamin D deficiency, vitamin D insufficiency and vitamin D adequacy were 35.51%?37.19%and 27.30%;the average concentration of serum vitamin D were 25.16 ng/ml and 24.00 ng/ml in MS and non-MS respectively, there was statistical significance between the difference.4.There was a positive correlation between serum vitamin D and age(r =0.124,P<0.05),and a negative correlation between serum vitamin D and TG(r =-0.076,P<0.05);vitamin D adequacy was related with an increased risk of MS(OR =1.56,95%CI:1.01,2.41),and a decreased risk of low HDL-C(OR =0.63,95%CI:0.41,0.98),and an increased risk of hypertension(OR=1.61,95%CI:1.10,2.35),but the relationship disappeared when the gender, age, area type and BMI were adjusted.[Conclusions]1.The components of MS were Obesity Factor,Lipid Factor,Blood Pressure Factor and Blood Glucose Factor, and the most significant factor was Obesity Factor.2.The prevalence of MS and its components were high in 5480 objects, more public health policy and measure were needed to control and prevent MS and vitamin D deficiency.3.The average concentration of serum vitamin D of 718 objects were vitamin D insufficiency, and the ratio of vitamin D deficiency was high, people need pay more attention on vitamin D status.4.Statistical significant relationship was not observed in our research, more research were needed to prove the association between serum vitamin D and MS or its components.
