Objective:The aims of the study are observing the results from three-dimensional conformal radiation and evaluating the prognostic factors of three-dimensional conformal radiation for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.Methods:140 esophageal squamous cell carcinomas patients were enrolled to receive the three-dimensional conformal radiation (3DCRT) after diagnoses in our hospital from January,2006 to June,2013. The researchers retrospective analyzed these140 patients and used Kaplan-Meier method to calculate survival rate. Then, Log rank test which involves single element and Cox test with multiple factors were used to analysis the prognostic factors. Results:For all esophageal squamous cell carcinomas patients, the 1-year,3-year and,5-year OS are 64.3%,39.3%, and 23.1%. In addition, there is no too much difference for three races (P>0.05). In the group, the factors which could influent the 3DCRT treatment are gender, length of esophageal carcinoma lesions in CT before treatment, TNM stage, combining with chemotherapy or not, the volume of GTV, the statistic difference of the radiation doses between 60Gy and 66Gy in prognoses of patients. Analyzing with multiple factors: the gender, the length of esophageal carcinoma lesions, the stage of T and N, the volume of GTV and combined with chemotherapy will influent the prognoses of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma independently. Conclusion:The longer length of esophageal lesions, the later T stage, with lymph node metastasis and tumor with greater volume, the worse prognosis. Patients with locally advanced radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy had a survival benefit. Esophageal radiation dose more than 50Gy at least, in the case of patient which can tolerate,66Gy than 60Gy dose pattern can get higher survival benefit.
