ObjectiveThe aim of this paper was to measure the medication adherence,quality oflife (QOL) in the patients who diagnosed as coronary heart disease (CHD) innursing homes,and analysis the related factors,moreover,explore therelationship,so that we can offer the basis of improving the QOL and medicineadherence of the CHD for the medical personnel in the nursing homes.MethodsFrom May2013to December2013,we selected155CHD patients in thewestern of Liaoning Province who met the inclusion criteria of the study,by usingconvenience sampling method.MAQ and SAQ were used to evaluate themedication adherence and quality of life.SPSS16.0for data processing,including description of data, ANOVA one-way and LSD, Spearman correlation.ResultsThe results shows that the medication non-adherence is81.3%;the relativefactors are as follows:marriage,religion,admitting duration,smoking,and theeffect factors are admitting duration and religion;The score of QOL is generallylower than65,except the AF subscale;The relative factors of QOL containssex,education,marriage,religion belief,BMI,medical background, admittingduration,visting frequency, smoking,drinking,and the effect factors are admittingduration, drinking,visting frequency,BMI,smoking;The score of medicationadherence and subscales of QOL of the CHD patients is negtively related,that isto say,the better the medication adherence,the better the quality of life, but,only the PL and AS subscales were statistical siginificantly related (P<0.05).ConclusionsThe medication adherence of the CHD patients in the nursing homes wasnot satisfying,with the rate of non-adherence81.3%;The score of QOL isgenerally lower than65,except the AF subscale;The better the medicineadherence,the better the QOL,but only the PL and AS subscales were statisticalsiginificantly related (P<0.05). The nursing carers in the nursing homes shouldtake effective mearsures?based on the particular characteristic, to improve themedicine adherence and the QOL of the CHD patients.
