Forestland covers an area of 4.641 million hm~2 in Liaoning province,of which the barren hills and wasteland land reaches the area of 1.112 million hm~2.From the perspective of development,suitable forestland including barren hills,barren sand and wasteland are indispensable reserved land for forestry.With the expansion of the afforestation area,in order to further improve the forestry ecological economic benefits in Liaoning province,constantly increase and improve the quantity and quality of forest resources,afforestation in suitable forestland will be the most important area in tapping growth potential of forest area in the future.Therefore,it is an important basic work in the forestry industry development of overall planning,rational using and scientific managing suitable forestland,which will give full play to the forestland productivity and promote the transition of forestland use from extensive inefficient to intensive and efficient.In this paper,basing on the data of forest resources survey in Liaoning province in 2010,and combining actors the such as main topography and geomorphology,altitude,soil,slope in Liaoning province,we carry on the site classification in suitable forestland in Liaoning province,and make forest productivity evaluation of native tree species in different forest site regions:(1)The classification system of forest site in Liaoning province.According to the results of vegetation regionalization in Liaoning province,the suitable forestland in Liaoning province is divided into 3 site areas,7site regions and 10 site types.According to the large-scale regional differentiation rule,Liaoning province is divided into 3 site area,eastern Liaoning mountainous hilly temperate humid,semi-humid site conditions areaⅠ,Liaohe River Plain temperate semi-humid site conditions areaⅡ,northwestern Liaoning low mountain hills temperate semi-humid and semi-arid site conditions areaⅢ;According to climate factors,it is divided into 7 areas,eastern Liaoning mountainous humid temperate site region 1,eastern Liaoning peninsula humid warm temperate site region 2,eastern Liaoning mountain western foot warm temperate humid site region 3,Liaohe River Plain site region 4,western Liaoning mountain eastern(southern)warm temperate zone semi-humid(drought in spring)site region5,western Liaoning mountain western(northern)warm temperate semi-humid(drought in spring and autumn)site region 6,western Liaoning north temperate zone semi-humid,semi-arid set region 7;According to the main site factors(slope,slope,soil thickness)involved in the investigation of forest resources,it is divided into 10 site types.(2)The best tree height growth equation for each tree species group in each site type of each site region.Logistic growth equation and Korf growth equation appear more times in eastern Liaoning mountainous humid temperate site region 1,Logistic growth equation has got the most frequent occurrence in the other six site regions.(3)Evaluation and selection of tree species productivity.In eastern Liaoning peninsula humid warm temperate site region 2,eastern Liaoning mountain western foot warm temperate humid site region 3,each tree species group has got similar productivity,the Larix kaempferi(Lamb.)Carr,Larix olgensis,and Pinus koraiensis have higher productivity and a certain economic value;In western Liaoning mountain eastern(southern)warm temperate zone semi-humid(drought in spring)site region 5,western Liaoning mountain western(northern)warm temperate semi-humid(drought in spring and autumn)site region 6,western Liaoning north temperate zone semi-humid,semi-arid set region 7,each tree species group has got similar productivity,Robinia pseudoacacia,Pinus tabuliformis,hard broad tree,Populus pseudosimonii,Populus xiaozuanica,Populus albaxp,Populus euramericana,have higher productivity,especially Populus(group)has higher productivity under the condition of different site type.
