Adaptability Evaluation Of Yunnan Purple Sweet Potato Variety In Dong Chuan District

Dongchuan is located in Kunming,Yunnan Province,located in the northeastern part of Yunnan Province and the northernmost of Kunming.The natural conditions are very suitable for planting sweet potato.At present,the planting area of sweet potato has reached 3.21 hectares,accounting for 16.63% of the crop sown area in Dongchuan,and the planting area of purple sweet potato is 0.86 hectares,accounting for 4.46% of the sown area of Dongchuan crops.With the development and utilization of purple sweet potato,the value of purple sweet potato is increasingly reflected,people have a new understanding of purple sweet potato,so purple sweet potato in Dongchuan has great potential for development.Dongchuan area planting purple sweet potato varieties are mostly ’Shanchuanzi’,a single species has been unable to meet the production needs.So,seven purple sweetpotato cultivars(’Dianziganhsu66’,’ Dianziganhsu 88’,’ Dianziganhsu 24’,’ Dianziganhsu 92’,’ Dianziganhsu 21’,’ Dianziganhsu 112’)were introduced to Dongchuan.The growth performance of 7 new purple sweet potato varieties were compared by regional experiment with purple sweet potato variety ’Shanchuanzi’ as control variety.The quality indexes of sweet potato root were also determined.The adaptability of purple sweet potato in Dongchuan was evaluated.Finally,the purple sweet potato varieties suitable for planting in Dongchuan district were determined.The results showed that the growth performance of 7 new varieties was better than that of the control,and the anthocyanin content was higher than that of the control.The anthocyanin content,protein content and soluble sugar content of ’Dianziganhsu66’ were the highest.The content of carotene in ’Dianziganhsu24’ was the highest,and the content of dry matter and starch in ’Dianziganhsu66’ was the highest,and the yield of ’Dianziganhsu88’ was the highest.The introduction of 7 purple sweet potato varieties are suitable for large-scale planting in Dongchuan,Which ’Dianziganhsu54’ is suitable for production and processing,and ’Dianziganhsu88’is suitably used as grain and feed.
