The objective of this study was to determine the nutritional value of Garlic straw(GS)for rabbits,evaluate the use of Garlic straw(GS)in the diets of growing meat rabbits by examining on its effect growth performance,muscle carcass quality,metabolic index,gastrointestinal development and immune organ growth and development.To determine the reasonable amount,provide the basis for the scientific design of diet in rabbits.At the same time,to reduce the cost of feed raw materials and improve the efficiency of aquaculture.1.The determination of the chemical composition of Garlic straw and nutritional value evaluationRoutine analysis for determination of chemical composition in Garlic straw,digestion experiment was carried out to determine the chemical composition in the dung,to calculate the nutrient digestibility,through algorithm consists calculated digestible components,to determine the feeding value of rabbit.The content of the gross energy(GE),dry matter(DM),crude protein(CP),crude fiber(CF),neutral detergent fiber(NDF),acid detergent fiber(ADF),crude fat(EE),calcium(Ca),and phosphorus(P)for Garlic straw(GS)are13.04MJ/kg?89.26%?6.06%?29.89%?36.57%?28.80%?4.29%?4.67%?2.78%?0.10%.The nutritional value of Garlic straw powder: DE 7.24MJ/Kg,DM 40.97%,CP 4.28%,CF4.04%,NDF 8.71%,ADF 5.98%,ADL 0.76%,EE 6.00%,Ca 1.10%,P 0.02%,Ash 5.30%.2.The influence of dietary GS level on growing meat rabbit rabbitsA total of 160 only 35 days old with similar weight healthy rabbit,and were randomly divided into 4 treatment(40 per treatment,and each treatment was 1).Test diets were fed with diets supplemented with 0,5%,10%,and 15% Garlic straw,respectively.There was a pretrial period of 7 d followed by an experimental period of 28 d.The results showed as follows: The dietary GS level was very significant on the ADG(P<0.01),the ADG of growing meat rabbits was the highest when the garlic straw added level was 10%.The effect of level on material weight ratio was not significant(P>0.05).When garlic stalk level is 10%-15%,it can reduce mortality effectively.The level of garlic straw had no significant effect on the muscle pH,drop water loss,L,b*,eviscerated weight and eviscerated carcass weight rate(P>0.05).The level of dietary garlic straw had significant impact on the a*(P<0.01).The dietary GS levelhad no significant impacts on SW,SW/LWCW,CW/LW(P>0.05);The level of garlic straw had no significant effect on the weight of immune organs and the index of immune organs.Effect of jejunum and ileum VH,CD,VH/CD were not significant(P>0.05);The level of dietary garlic straw had no significant effect on jejunum IFN-?,IL-2,SIGA,ileum IFN-?,IL-2,SIGA,ileum IGG,jejunum TNF-?.The IGG of ileum,TNF-? of jejunum were significantly affected(P<0.05).To sum up,it is most appropriate to add 10% garlic straw to the growing rabbit diet.
