Dynamic Distribution And Excretion Of Waterfowl-origin Reovirus In Muscovy Ducks

Muscovy duck reovirus(MDR)and Novel duck reovirus(NDR)belong to waterfowl-origin reovirus,which are the important diseases endanger duck industry in China in recent years.However,viruses vary widely in their pathogenicity and litter is known about the pathogenic mechanism.This study will applied immunofluorescence(IFA)detection 1 age young Muscovy ducks infected artificially MDRV and NDRV after different time.Include heart,liver,spleen,lung,kidney,pancreas and duodenum,bursa of fabricius,thymus and brain tissues of dynamic distribution of virus.1 MDRV in artificial infection and the distribution of Muscovy ducks body1.1 MDRV in artificial infect distribution in the Muscovy ducks bodyMuscovy ducks were infected MDRV had detected viral antigen after PI 3d by immunohistochemistry.Its peak time was at the 5-11 day of challenged when the morbidity and mortality were most serious.At the 15 day,there was no virus detected in all organs.Viral could be detected in the liver,spleen,lung,kidney,pancreas and duodenum,bursa of fabricius and thymus at the 3 day.The strongest fluorescence intensity in Liver,spleen,kidney;the weak in lung,pancreas,duodenum,bursa of fabricius and thymus.At the 11 day,virus was not detected in lung.At the 12 day,virus was not detected in pancreas and duodenum.1.2 MDRV in artificial infection of Muscovy duck body excretionAt the 5 day of challenge,the viral was detected in the cotton swab of throat and cloaca until 13d,which indicated that the challgenged Muscovy duckling start to excretion the virus at 5day an stop at 13day.2 NDRV in artificial infection and the distribution of Muscovy ducks body2.1 NDRV in artificial infect distribution in the Muscovy ducks bodyMuscovy ducks were infected NDRV had detected viral antigen after PI 2d by immunohistochemistry.Its peak time was at the 3-9 day of challenged when the morbidity and mortality were most serious.Liver,The strongest fluorescence intensity in spleen and kidney;lung,pancreas,duodenum stronger;bursa of fabricius and thymus weak.At the 11 day,virus was not detected in lung.At the 12 day,virus was not detected in pancreas and duodenum.At the 18 day,there was no virus detected in all organs.2.2 NDRV in artificial infection of Muscovy duck body excretionAt the 3 day of challenge,the viral was detected in the cotton swab of throat and cloaca until 13d,which indicated that the challgenged Muscovy duckling start to excretion the virus at 3 day an stop at 13day.
