Rosa laevigata Michx. is a kind of climbing evergreen plant, which belongs to Rosa of Rosaceae. The good value of Rosa laevigata Michx. from the aspects of medical and edible use and rocky desertification control has been clarified. However, their further development and utilization is severely limited due to their low propagation coefficient. The experiment explored the propagation techniques of Rosa laevigata Michx. on their cut branches propagation, seed propagation and tissue culture propagation Based on. The results as follows:1. Cutting branches propagation: Soak tender annual stem with axillary bud in 1%KMn O4 for 5 minutes, then make a contrastive analysis of cutting branches propagation of the soaked stems respectively in ABT, NAA and IBA in three kinds of soil: perlite, vermiculite and river sand. According to the experiment results, the survival effect of the stem soaked in perlite with ABT(250mg·L-1) for 20 min is the best: germination rate of 95.0%, rooting rate of 95.0%, survival rate of 90.3%.2. Tissue Culture propagation: Take annual young stem segment with axillary bud as explants, then make a contrastive analysis of their antiseptic sterilization time in Na Cl O and Hg Cl2 solution. According to the experiment results, in 0.1% Hg Cl2 solution for 6 minutes, the achievement rate of survived and sterilized stem is the best as 60.0%. The experiments on inducement of overgrown bud by different kinds of culture medium and growth regulating substances with different concentration show that, the explants in MS medium, together with 1 mg·L-1 6-BA, 0.1 mg·L-1 NAA, 1mg·L-1 KT achieve the best propagation coefficient as 4.2. The stems in B5 medium with 0.2 mg·L-1 6-BA, 0.1 mg·L-1 NAA, 0.3mg·L-1 KT make an achievement of 100%rooting rate, high rooting efficiency index of 191.1%.3. Seed Propagation: According to the experiments on mechanical breaking of the seed coat, low temperature stratification, and seed dipping in phytohormone, the coat-breaking of the plump and mature seeds of first year can break the seed dormancy, improve their germination rate by 15.84%. The best stratification temperature and period for seed germination are 5? and 120 days, which can achieve 41.67%germination rate. After soaking in the mixed solution of 150 mg·L-1 NAA with 100mg·L-1 GA3 as well as 0.3% Gu SO4 for 36 hours, the seed dormancy can be broken to its maximum, and the germination rate can be up to 63.3%.The experimental results show that cutting branches propagation, seed propagation and tissue culture propagation can be used for the propagation of Rosa laevigata Michx. on the condition of meticulosity and skillful techniques. Cutting propagation technique is simple and rapid. Seed breeding is time-consuming and low cost. Tissue culture technology has a large propagation coefficient, fast breeding, but technology is complex.
