Effect Of Lonicera Fulvotomentosa Extract On Growth Performance,Immune Function And Intestinal Flora Of Weaned Piglets | | Posted on:2018-08-22 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:L Chen | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2323330536463938 | Subject:Ecology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | With the increasing of the side effects of antibiotics in animals,a large number of antibiotics have been banned,so that the research on the search for the substitute of antibiotics has become an important direction.Medicinal plant extracts as the product of natural and non-toxic side effects have become the focus of attention,and Lonicera fulvotomentosa as a medicinal plant was obtained the favor of researchers.This paper studies the effect of Lonicera fulvotomentosa extract as a feed additive for growth performance,immune function and stability of the intestinal flora of weaned piglet,and its actually used in animal production to provide a theoretical basis.A total of 48 healthy weaned piglets(28 d of age)with an initial average body weight(BW)of 9.00±1.00 kg were allocated to 4 treatments with 3 replicates per treatment and 4 pigs per pen with randomized complete block design according to their initial BW.The experimental groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,were respectively aⅢ dded 600,800 and 1000 mg/kg of Lonicera fulvotomentosa extract to basal diet,and the diet of the control group was added colistin sulfate to basal diet.The whole trial was lasted for 35 days.The individual piglet BW was recorded at every two weeks of the experimental period that were used to calculate average daily gain(ADG),average daily feed intake(ADFI)and gain:feed ratio(G:F).And diarrhea index was calculated for the entire period.At the end of the experiment,the piglets were slaughtered and the blood serum,liver,jejunum and rectum were used to detect the biochemical indexes,the content of immune cells,immune factors,and the diversity and similarity of intestinal flora.The results show:(1)During the whole experimental period,the final weight of experimental group Ⅲwas 21.19% significantly higher than the experimental groupⅠ(P<0.05),and the ADG was 25.71% higher than the control group;the diarrhea index of piglets in the experimental group was affected by the concentration of the extract,and decreased with the increase of the concentration,and the group Ⅲ result was slightly lower than the control group.(2)The serum SOD activity of the experimental group Ⅲand control group was significantly higher than the groups I and II(P<0.05);There was no significant different in MDA activity between the experimental group II,III and control group,while the group III was significantly decreased than the groupⅠwith 43.67%(P<0.05).(3)The extract had no significant effect for content of serum CD4+,CD8+ and immunity factors of jejunal mucosa;the level of serum Ig M in the experimental group Ⅲ was significantly higher than the group II(P<0.05);the extract had effects on immune factors in serum,jejunal mucosa and liver,but there was no significant difference between the groups.(4)Extract can increase the diversity and abundance of intestinal flora in jejunum and rectum,the similarity of the bacterial flora in jejunum and rectal was between 80%~95% and 70%~95%,respectively.The 50 special band of rumen bacteria in the experimental group had belonged to the body of dominant bacteria and played a greater role in the effects of in vivo function bacteria. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Lonicera fulvotomentosa, Weaned Piglets, Growth Performance, Immune Function, Intestinal flora | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
