The Study On The Basic Characteristics And The Combining Ability Of The Key Character For The Excellent Quality Restorer Line Tai 766

Tai 766 is an excellent quality restorer line,which was bred by Guangdong Yuantai Agricultural Technological Limited Company.Based on the parental role of Tai 766,Xingyou 766,Qunyou 766,Shaoyou 766 and Longyou 766 were certified by Guangdong province one after another recently.In order to realize the characteristics and combining ability of the restorer line Tai 766 more clearly,this study chose four extensive used restorer lines(Hui 638,Hui 665,Guanghui 122,and Tai 701)as the control groups.The study also chose Jitian A,Y Huanong A,Qun A,Jian A,Xing A,and Long A as the sterile lines of Three Line Method.Based on the combination between the restorer lines and sterile lines by the Incomplete Diallel Cross Method,the study paid attention on analyzing the characteristics and combining ability of Tai 766 and its hybrid combination.The study arrived at conclusions as follows:1.Tai 766 have many main characteristics.It is a themrmoresponsive long-grained nonglutinous excellent quality restorer line.The plant height is 114.5cm in average.It is moderate for the stem distribution as well as the tillering ability.The stem is strong.The percentage of earbearing tiller is high.The flag leaves are erected with 31.2cm length and1.7cm width in average.The color of leaves is moderate in dark green while colorless for the leaf sheaths,auricle,leaf margins and ligule.The length of spikes is 25.3cm with 171 rice seeds per spike in average.The maturing rate is 92.4 percent in average.The thousand seed weight is 22.3g.The transplanting leaf age ranges from 96 days to 103 days with 15.0to 15.6 leaves for the main stem in average if sowing seeds in spring.If sowing seeds in summer the transplanting leaf age ranges from 80 days to 82 days with 14.8 to 15.2 leaves for the main stem in average.The performance of flowering is good for concentrating flowing time and rich amount of pollens during the blooming stage.It is excellent for the rice quality as many indicators of the quality character are up to the first degree standard of Guoyou.It is moderate for the blast resistance.2.The effect analysis on the general combining ability of agronomical characters shows that there are higher values of general combing ability for the Tai 766 comparing with the control groups in the aspects of stem height,spike length,the number of seeds in each spike,maturing rate,and some other characters.However,it is just so common for the relative effect value of the general combing ability of production per plant for the Tai 766 due to the negative effect in effective panicle number and thousand seed weigh.So the optimal productive combination is to hybrid breeding with sterile line that with higher general combing ability of tillering rate.3.The effect analysis on the general combining ability of rice quality characters finds that there are higher values of general combing ability for the Tai 766 comparing with the control groups in the eight aspects of brown rice rate,milled rice rate,complete milled rice rate,chalky rice rate,chalky degree,the ratio of length to width for the grain shape,gelconsistency,and the amount of amylose comparing with other four control group of restorer lines,in which many of the characters performance the best effect value of general combining ability.In general,Tai 766 is the useful parental strain for breeding excellent quality hybrid rice due to its better grain quality than that of Guanghui 122,Hui 665 and other restorer lines of control group.
