Abstract/Summary:
Mesembryanthemum crystallinum L.belonging to Aizoaceae dicotyledonous annual or biennial herb,is orginated from Southern Africa.It is a cold-resistant and drought-resistant vegetable which has rich nutritional value.Iceplant is introduced from Japan in recent years belonging to a new vegetable variety,but there are many restriction in introduction time and cultivation technique.Therefore,suitable growth environment and cultivation technology are the key problem in planting industry standardization,industrialization,large-scale development of iceplant.Light is one of most important environmental factors affecting plant growth,light spectral distribution has a wide range of regulation in plant morphology,physiology metabolism,growth development and quality.The main purpose of this study is regulating the growth and quality of Mesembryanthemum crystallinum L.under different light spectrum and selecting suitable growing spectrum combination.Three treatments different combinations of red and blue spectral proportions was set,and add white,yellow and green light on optimized combination of red and blue spectrum.The main results are as follows:(1)The treatment under RB11 with the shortest height and more compact plant type tiller earlier and has the higher biomass and the highest vitamin C(Vc),sugar,soluble protein content.A combination of red and blue spectral treatments have higher content of photosynthetic pigments,starch and have lower soluble sugar,nitrate content than control treatment.Free amino acid content between all of treatments is no significant difference.In summary,the treatment under RB11 shows vigorous growth,better quality and can be used as a suitable spectrum cultivated in plant factory.(2)The treatment under RBY has the highest biomass.The treatment under RBW shows the shortest height,most number of leaves and bigger leaf area but less biomass.The treatment under RBY shows relatively higher content of sucrose,soluble protein,free amino acids,vitamin C.In summary,the treatment under RBY handles robust growth,better quality and can be used as a suitable spectrum of plant cultivation in plant factory.
