The ornamental pineapple(Ornativa pineapple)flower is one of the four potted flowers during the Lunar New Year flower market,which has high ornamental and economic value.In recent years,the demand for ornamental pineapple flower is great.However.the systematic research of the impact factors(light,temperature,et al),fertilization modes and the conditions of soilless cultivation during the growth of ornamental pineapple in the lack.Therefore,in this study,pot experiments were conducted to study the effects of different cultivation conditions on the ornamental pineapple Guzmania 'Cherry' growth,to explore the new substrate,supporting cultivation techniques,and enhance the quality of flowers in the factory production.The main results are as follows:1.In Nanjing,the summer light intensity which is neither too strong(100%or 80%natural light intensity)or too weak(40%natural light intensity)light are benefit for the ornamental pineapple normal growth and the improvement of commodity traits.While in the 60%natural light intensity(about 1.92×104?2.52×104 lx),the chlorophyll and soluble sugar content in leaves are higher than other light treatment,and the C/N of leaf and root are the highest,which is conducive to plant growth.Compared with 25?,under 40?high temperature stress,the superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),and catalase(CAT)activities in ornamental pineapple leaves were increased,and the soluble protein content were decreased,which meant the free amino acid content increased,while the content of chlorophyll and carotenoid decreased,and stomatal closure was gradually closed with time,which was not conducive to plant growth.2.The appropriative cultivate medium,the traditional Chinese medicine residue,coir,imported peat,vermiculite and perlite were chosen as the raw material,mixed in a certain proportion,and theimport peat was asthe control,to explore the feasibility of replacing imported peat and coconut bran with traditional Chinese medicine residue.The results showed that plants showed better performance in the substrate with the volume ratio of Chinese medicine residue,vermiculite,perlite 1:1:1.This substrate is conducive to the accumulation of plant dry matter,in particular,can promote the growth of root and dry matter accumulation.At the same time,it can promote the leaf number increased,compact and beautiful.Thus,the traditional Chinese medicine residue can be applied to the daily production of ornamental pineapple Guzmania 'Cherry' instead of the imported peat and coir.3.The effects of different fertilize concentrations and slow release fertilizer on the ornamental pineapple Guzmania 'Cherry' growth with the substrate(the volume tation of traditional Chinese medicine residue,vermiculite,perlite,was 1:1:1)were investigated.The results showed that the Ornamental pineapple had the dark green leaves,vigorous growth,and good ornamental,When the fertilizer concentration was 0.5g/L?0.7g/L during the Ornamental pineapple seedling vegetative growth stage,and was 0.7g/L-lg/L during Seedling.Meanwhile,when the 4g/pots Osmocote No.1 fertilizer was used during the vegetative period,it can promote the synthesis of chlorophyll in plant leaves,the increase of photosynthetic products,and the absorption of N,P and other elements by leaves,which was conducive to the vegetative growth of ornamental pineapple.
