In this paper, the application of slow-control-released fertilizer urea-formal dehyde on the general field crops (such as rice, wheat and cotton), pastures and the tree seedlings for watching and enjoying were studied. Also the need of the peasants and the enterprises development for the fertilizer were investigated, the object is to study the way of industrialization on the general field crops.The results showed that, in comparison with urea (control), the slow-control-released fertilizer could improve the tillering ability in rice, increased the panicle number obviously, enhanced the seed-setting percent and 1000-grain weight a little. The feitilizer also could gain more ears in wheat, bosltered the boll number per plant and increased boll weight in cotton. The fertilizer could raised the yield of Leymus Chinensis and improved its nutritional components, the fetrilizer also accelerated the growth of the seedlings on Cedrus, Red maple and Japanese Cherry,In the technique of application, the slow-control-released urea-formal dehyde could decrease the times of application and saved labors. In economy, it could increase the output and input proportion, decreased the amount of nitrogen application, increased the soil nitrogen content and the utilization efficiency, also it reduced nitrogen loss, decreased the total nitrogen and nitrate-N content in the rivers nearby.At present, the higher price of this fertilizer, lacking the special fertilizer variety, application technique as well as the theory for the different field crops, less knowledge about the new type fertilizer for the peasants and unformed effective extension system limited the fertilizer application on the general field crops. In all, the government and the involved departments should increase input and consititute some relevent policy to benefit the fertilizer application, strength the theories and application study of the fertilizer on the field crops, also exploitate the special fertilizer products for different crops, set up effective technique service system. In addition, the government should strengthen publiticy and technique training for the peasants, give better technique service, consultation and monitoring on the fertilizer application.
