A Research On Quality Of Mixed Silage Of Tephrosia Candida And Sweet Pennisetum Purpureum

In this study,tephrosia candida and sweet pennisetum purpureum were used as our experimental objects,being modulated as two kinds of moisture content and four mixed proportions of tephrosia candida and sweet pennisetum purpureum mixed silage in order to determine the suitable moisture content and the best mixed ratio,which providing a theoretical basis for the development of animal husbandry.Experiment one:Tephrosia candida(moisture 70.24%)and sweet pennisetum purpureum(moisture 73.38%)were ensiled at four different kinds of mixed ratio which were 1:9,3:7,5:5 and 7:3(short for 19MS,37MS,55MS and 73MS).There were 3 replicates in each treatment.The mixed silage was ensiled in fermentation bag after sucking air,and was sampled on 30days at normal temperature,the pH value,crude protein(CP),crude Ashlactic acid(Ash),lactic acid(LA),acetic acid(AA),neutraldetergent fibre(NDF),acid detergent fiber(ADF)and ammonia nitrogen(N-NH3)and other indicators were measured.The results showed that the sensory indexes of 19MS and 37MS mixed silage both were yellow color,musty smell and sticky texture with 73.16±0.12 and 72.20±0.53 moisture content,respectively.the 55MS were a light yellowish green color,pale acid scent and the middle of the texture with 70.666±0.67 moisture content and the 73MS were light yellow color,musty odor and slightly sticky texture with 70.03±0.78 moisture content.In addition,compared with the 19MS and 3 7MS CP content,5 5MS increased significantly(P<0.01),and was significantly lower than 73MS(P<0.05).Ash and ADF content of 55MS was significantly lower than 19MS and 37MS(P<0.01),but 73MS showed no significant difference.Moreover,55MS NDF was the lowest among the four mixing ratios,followed by 73MS and 37MS,the highest in 19MS,while the difference of them were not significant.The pH value of 55MS compared with 73MS had no significant difference,compared with 19MS and 37MS significantly decreased(P<0.01).55MS N-NH3 content was lowest,which was significantly lower than 73MS(P<0.05)and extremely significantly lower than 19MS and 37MS(P<0.01).Additiontely,the AA content of 55MS was the lowest,it was significantly different from the other groups(P<0.01).Compared with 19MS and 37MS,the LA content of 55MS was significantly higher(P<0.01),while it was not difference with 73MS,and the levels of PA and BA in the four mixed proportions were almost undetected.In summary,55MS scored the highest in the overall score,followed by 73MS.Comprehensive analysis,55MS silage was the most superior in the mixed ensilage.Experiment two:Tephrosia candida(moisture 60.20%)and sweet pennisetum purpureum(moisture 63.70%)were were ensiled at four different kinds of mixed ratio which were 1:9,3:7,5:5 and 7:3(short for 19MS,37MS,55MS and 73MS).There were 3 replicates in each treatment.The mixed silage was ensiled in fermentation bag after sucking air,and was sampled on 30days at normal temperature,the pH value,crude protein(CP),crude Ashlactic acid(Ash),(LA),acetic acid(AA),neutraldetergent fibre(NDF),acid detergent fiber(ADF)and ammonia nitrogen(N-NH3)and other indicators were measured.The results indicated that the sensory indexes of mixed silage(37MS and 73MS)both were pale yellowish green color,light odor and more loose texture with the moisture content of 62.71±0.01 and 60.24±0.02,respectively.the 19MS were light yellow color,musty odor and slightly sticky texture with 63.30±0.01 moisture content and the 55MS were yellow green color,an acid flavor and a loose texture with 61.13±0.02 moisture content.Furthermore,the material content(Ash,NDF and N-NH3)of 55MS all were the lowest when compared with 73MS(P<0.05)and the others(19MS,37MS,P<0.01),which was contrary to the result of LA.Moreover,the CP content of 55MS was significantly higher than 19MS and 37MS(P<0.01),whereas the ADF was the opposite(P<0.01),but both had no significant difference with 73MS.Besides,the pH value of 19MS,37MS,55MS and 73MS respectively were 4.72±0.01,4.45±0.03,4.26±0.02 and 4.31±0.01,wheras 55MS was the lowest(P<0.05).Moreover,compared with the other groups,55MS AA content was significantly decreased(P<0.01),and the PA and BA contents were not detected of all groups.The overall score of 19MS,37MS,55MS and 73MS respectively was 69.5,71.5,76.5 and 72.5,therefore 55MS scored the highest for optimal silage,the silage effect of the rest were similar.By comparison,the mixed silage of 55MS had the best effect,and the appropriate reduction in moisture content will bring about a better silage quality.
