A Preliminary Analysis On The Chinese Cultural Connotation And Landscape Application Of Willow

Willow cultivation in China has a wide range of history.Willow plays an important role in both classical gardens and modern gardens in China.However,Willows are used in uncontrolled application status and the expression of willow culture is not strong,which makes the study of willow cultural connotation and a more reasonable model of landscape application is very necessary.This paper aims to study the connotation of willow culture,to analyze the application status of willow and to provide reference and guidance for the rational application of willow.In this paper,the literature analysis method is used to study the cultural connotation of willow.The results show that willow has strong cultural connotation.Liu literature combined with folk paintings as the research foundation,the paper is summed up the six symbols: farewell,strong fecundity,God blessing the harbinger of spring,and the king.In Chinese Confucian thought,some celebrities and city culture will also regard willow as spiritual sustenance.This paper mainly uses the method of investigation and research to Zizhu Park in Beijing,Willow Shade Park in Beijing,Botanical Garden in Beijing,the Summer Palace,West Lake in Hangzhou,Xixi Wetland Park in Hangzhou and Chinese classical gardens in Suzhou.The results show that the application of willow landscape has its unique aesthetic characteristics: beauty of time,designer planting properly and human distinctive mood.Willow is also unique in the application of space.Willow is used to plant on the water’s edge frequently.Different application of willow can create a different atmosphere of space to show the unique charm.But there are deficiencies in the application of willow in the survey: application of trees willow unreasonable,onefold willow species selection,willow application more ecological but less cultural.Above all,the paper excavates the Chinese willow cultural connotation and analyzes the landscape application characteristics of willow trees,in order to provide reference for the landscape application and cultural expression of willow trees in the garden.
