Phyllostachys pubescens forest is widely distributed and the largest area of bamboo species in China.It is a bamboo species with economic,ecological and social benefits.Bamboo industry has become a pillar industry in the development of local agricultural economy.Studying laws of the rhizome bud bank of Phyllostachys pubescens forest and can enrich the bamboo shoots efficient management mechanism,and provide the basis for the application of bamboo technology update.The experiment is located in Suichang and Longquan of Zhejiang province,Phyllostachys pubescens forest was split into 3 kinds of management intensity(stem harvesting pattern-SH,mixed mode with the two intension-MM,shoot food harvesting type-SFH).The 3 kinds of Phyllostachys pubescens forest select samples were 2,2 and 4,each area of not less than 500 m2.Each sample set 6 m * 6 m sample,containing 8 to 10 strains of bamboo in the sample.Research by digging method in situ surveyed the distribution characteristics of Phyllostachys pubescens buds and fork rhizome and shoots.Results show:1.The strong buds and shoot buds of SFH grow in younger rhizomes than the buds of MM and SH,and the weak buds concentrated in young rhizomes.The shoots mian grow in the underground rhizomes,which were between 3 to 6 years of age.The ability of more than 7 of the age rhizomes to growing shoots was reduced,and it should be promptly cleared.The shoots of MM and SH concentrated in the 4to 9 years of rhizomes.The ability of more than 10 of the age rhizomes to growing shoots was weakly.The rhizomes of Phyllostachys heterocycla cv.pubescens forest with business strength in high management intension grow shoots in younger age.The severed rhizomes will grow new rhizome,and it mainly distributed nearlly to the breakpoints,distance especial the breakpoint 2 ~ 6 node,rhizome is mainly the current year and the following year after crack bifurcation.2.The effective length of 3~4 years rhizomes for SFH was 0.7~1.6 m.The effective length of 5~6years rhizomes for SFH was 0.6~1.5 m.The effective length of 4~5 years rhizomes for MM was0.8~2.8 m.The effective length of 6~7 years rhizomes for MM was 0.5~1.7 m.Due to the different environmental conditions of sample plots caused big variety scope of effective rhizomes,as a whole the effective length of SH was 1.2~2.7 m.3.The severed rhizomes will grow shoots with a best chance,shoots mainly distributed nearlly to the breakpoints in the growing shoots season,distance especial the breakpoint 2 ~ 6 node.The new rhizome mainly grows in the current year and the following year when rhizomes were broken.The new rhizome mianly grows in 3 ~ 7 node of the older age underground rhizomes;The rhizomes locations of the high proportion of growing shoots were difference.The range of 3~4 years rhizomes for SFH were 9~22node.The range of 5~6 years rhizomes for SFH were 5~18 node.The range of 4~5 years rhizomes for MM were 16~37 node.The range of 6~7 years rhizomes for MM were 13~30 node.The range of 4~5years rhizomes for SH were 25~30 node.The range of 6~7 years rhizomes for SH were 18~21 node.
