Urban green space as the main body of urban life support system.It is of great significance to control the urban greenhouse gas emissions and slow global climate change.Carbon sequestration benefits of urban green space has universally recognized by international scholars.Many researches on carbon storage,carbon sequestration,carbon density and carbon sink of urban green space has been carried out.However,due to the high intensity of human disturbance,there is fossil energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in urban green space construction,maintenance and disposal process.Green space planning and design as the forerunner,to some extent,it has decisive effect to green space construction and management.We choose Haizhu Lake Park arbor community as the research object,using life cycle assessment.We set samples according to tree specifications,tree species and planting density which are easy to control variables and control variables in green space planning and design.Through field investigation,relevant data collected and related personnel in-depth interviews.Estimate carbon stock,life cycle carbon stock growth,construction carbon emissions,life cycle maintenance emissions,life cycle carbon budget.Discusses the influence of different design factors on urban green space arbor community life cycle stages.And provide references for urban green space arbor community design.The main results are as follows:1.The amount of urban green space arbor community carbon stock is between-2069-696409kgC/ha,the average amount of carbon stock is 42997kgC/ha in Guangzhou.The faster the growth rate,the higher amount of carbon stock.If tree species and tree specifications in certain circumstances,the greater the planting density,the higher amount of carbon stock.If planting density and the main tree species in certain circumstances,the greater the tree specifications,the higher amount of carbon stock.2.The amount of urban green space arbor community life cycle carbon stock growth is between-2069-696409kgC/ha,the average amount of life cycle carbon stock growth is 429979kgC/ha in Guangzhou.If planting density and trees specifications in certain circumstances,the faster the growth rate,the higher amount of life cycle carbon stock growth.If tree species and tree specifications in certain circumstances,when community planting density over a certain range,the amount of life cycle carbon stock growth is slow.If planting density and the main tree species in certain circumstances,the life cycle carbon stock growth affected by trees specification change is not obvious.3.The amount of urban green space arbor community construction carbon emission is between 1236-6648kgC/ha,the average amount of construction carbon emission is 4621 kgC/ha in Guangzhou.The construction carbon emissions affected by trees species change is not obvious.If tree species and tree specifications in certain circumstances,the greater the density of planted trees,the higher construction carbon emissions.If planting density and the main tree species in certain circumstances.the bigger the tree specifications,the higher construction carbon emissions.4.The amount of urban green space arbor community life cycle maintenance carbon emission is between 9255-150985kgC/ha,the average amount of life cycle maintenance carbon emission is 11239kgC/ha in Guangzhou.If planting density and trees specifications in certain circumstances,the faster the growth rate,the higher the maintenance carbon emission.If tree species and tree specifications in certain circumstances,the greater the density of planted trees,the higher maintenance carbon emissions.If planting density and the main tree species in certain circumstances.the bigger the tree specifications,the higher maintenance carbon emissions.5.The amount of urban green space arbor community life cycle carbon budget is between-19090-56897kgC/ha in Guangzhou,the average amount of life cycle carbon budget is 28771kgC/ha.If planting density and trees specifications in certain circumstances,the faster the growth rate,the higher the life cycle net carbon stock.If tree species and tree specifications in certain circumstances,the greater the density of planted trees,the higher the life cycle net carbon stock.When community planting density over a certain range,from the scope of the whole life cycle,the amount of carbon stock will show a negative growth state,from carbon sink into carbon source6.The time required for carbon stock growth of arbor community to offset the construction carbon emissions is about 0.86-3.85 years in Guangzhou.Construction and maintenance carbon emission accounted for the proportion of total life cycle carbon stock growth is between 18.30%-42.82% in Guangzhou.
