Park green space plays an irreplaceable role in maintenance and improvement of urban ecosystem.Scientific and reasonable plant landscape arrangement in park can improve ecological benefits.As the result,it is essential to make an investigation of park plant landscapes so as to achieve sustainable development of the parks.A total of 61 representative and typical plant communities in the Bayi Park,People's Park and Eight Mountain MenPark of Nanchang were taken for the object of analyzing the composition of plants,basic situation,types,appearance,structure and quantity of plant communities in these three parks.The essay were done on the citizens' satisfaction for park landscape according to the plant community diversity index among different parks,and an evaluation of the plant landscapes from the angle of aesthetics based on the sample photos of plant communities was done.The results showed that many undesirable present situations were existed,such asunreasonable plant disposition,inappropriate plant collocation,lack of rich visual perception provided by seasonal plant landscapes and aquatic plants,absence of humanized partial design and plants maintenance management as well as little application of new-superior ground covers species.Targeting at the actuality and combining with the actual conditions,specific suggestions for optimization of park plant landscapes were proposed that adjust plant density should be adjusted,aquatic plants be increased,seasonal extend landscapes be enriched,viewing period be extended,application of new-superior ground covers species and ground covers diversity be augmented and humanistic design concept and conduct scientific plants maintenance management be carefully advocated.
