Drought disaster is the most frequent natural disaster in Inner Mongolia.This article selected transition zone between cropping area and nomadic area in eastern Inner Mongolia as the research area and used the precipitation data,remote sensing data of the region,the landuse data,basic geographic data and statistical yearbook data.Based on GIS and RS technology and supported by theory of natural disasters,selected several indicators in the region,the danger of disaster-causing factors,sensitivity of disaster-formative environments,vulnerability of disaster-bearing body and ability of disaster prevention were studied.Then,mapped the eastern Inner Mongolia agricultural drought risk zoning map and the eastern Inner Mongolia animal husbandry drought risk zoning map,finally respectively did Cluster analysis and result validation.The results show that the regional distribution of agricultural drought risk is the middle area is high and the north and south are low.Among them,Khorchin right-wing QianQi is the most high risk area.ln addition,the regional animal husbandry drought risk distribution is decreasing from north to south,and its quite different in each county.Among them,chenbartian flag qi is the most high risk area.
