Buffalo has the characteristics to resistant coarse feed, heat and damp heat as well as diseases, the application of roughage can produce high quality milk and meat products. With the increase in production,Hubei is the largest province to yield rapeseed, but the decline in price has resulted in a "high yield is not harvest" for farmers. In order to improve the income of farmers, the Ministry of Agriculture called on the provinces to supply side of the agricultural structure reform, which is,"grain to feed","oil to feed".In order to make full use of local resources, the development of buffalo roughage, promotes the "oil to feed" process. This study will be carried out by cellar storage after the harvest of the whole plant rape(feed Brassica Napus). The rape is treated for feed through feeding and rumen metabolism experiment.By exploring the effects of different drying days on rape moisture and nutrients, the preservation effect of whole plant silage rape and its nutritional value and feeding value,to provide the experimental basis for the design of save and usage of rape. The main contents and results are as follows:1.The effect of sunny days on the nutrient composition of rape after rape harvestAccording to the climatic characteristics of Hubei province, select five consecutive sunny days under the temperature of 15~27 ?.Harvest the rape from five points by using the geometric method and dry them for 1d,2d,3d and 4d,respectively.The effect of sunny days on the nutrient of rape was analyzed, and the technical basis was provided for the whole plant rapeseed timely silage. The results showed that:(1)Drying two days in field after harvest, the moisture content drops to 74.69%,which was in accordance with the conditions of silage rape.(2)Rapeseed mowing after drying 1-4 days, the Crude Protein(CP)content decreased, but the degree of reduction has no relevance with the length of drying time;Ether Extract(EE)had an increase trend;Crude Fiber(CF)had a decrease trend.Among them, the Neutral Detergent Fiber(NDF)decreased obviously, and the Acid Detergent Fiber(ADF)changed slightly.2.The preservation effect of high-moisture silage in whole plant rapeseed and the degradation of rumen in different silage periodAdd 4 tonnes of dry straw to 60 tonnes of rapeseed with a moisture content of 85%,and the whole plant of 30 d,45d,60 d,75d and 90 d for silot storage were taken as the samples respectively by using the five-point sampling method. To determine the optimum time for high moisture silage by sensory evaluation, nutritional value evaluation and rumen digestion experiments were taken. The results showed that:(1)The results of sensory evaluation showed:In silage 30~60d,the pH value of silage was maintained at 3.8~4.2,the color was bright yellow, close to the raw material color, the smell was sour and the texture was soft but not sticky.(2)The results of nutritional components showed: The highest content of Crude Protein(CP)was 13.21% of dry matter in silage 45 d,which was 31.57% higher than that before silage(0d).The Ether Extract(EE)had an increase tendency, while the change of Crude Fiber(CF)was not obvious.Acid Detergent Fiber(ADF)had no significant difference and the Neutral Detergent Fiber(NDF)showed an increasing trend.(3)Rumen degradation test results showed: the rumen degradation rates of Dry Matter(DM)and Crude Fiber(CF)were the highest in silage 30 d,and the Crude Protein(CP)was not significantly changed. The rumen degradation rate of Ether Extract(EE)was the highest in silage 90 d.The comprehensive assessment results showed that the high-volume silage of the whole plant rape should be opened and fed in 30 days to 60 days, and the nutritional value and digestibility were the highest.3.Whole plant silage rape feed and its effects on feed intake, daily milk yield and milk composition28 healthy lactating buffaloes which had the basically same parity, milk production and lactation were selected and then randomly assigned to four groups(7 for each).Total Mixed Ration(TMR)diets were supplemented with 10%,20%,30%(dry matter)silage rapeseed for feeding experiment for 60 d.The results showed that the addition of 10% silage to the TMR diet gives the largest production performance of milk buffalo.
