It is of great significance to make full use of salt and alkali to develop peanut production to protect the safety of oil in China.Breeding of salt-tolerant peanut varieties is an effective way to utilize salinity.Based on the previous studies,we can choose salt stress at seeding stage,depending on the choosing situation of the peanut(Baisha 1016 and Shanhua11)cultivars which including the agronomic traits,biomass and mortality.In order to screen out salt tolerance resources,we should evaluate the different identification methods.238 peanut germplasms were identified by sand culture.The main findings are as follows:1 Identification method of salt tolerance at seedling stage in peanutUnder the condition of sand culture and hydroponic culture,the relative value of morphological index can be used to eliminate the difference of each index,and it can also obtain reliable results by using the morphological index.The relative salt value of 1%,salt tolerance index,salt tolerance coefficient,relative value of main stem and relative value of lateral branch can be used as the main identification index.When the mortality is identified,the appropriate salt concentration should be 2%~3%.It is more oppropriate to identify the plant mortality date which under the 9,10,11 days when the salt stress is 3%.2 Identification and Evaluation of Salt Tolerance of Germplasm ResourcesAccording to the morphological indexes of 1% salt stress at seedling stage and the mortality rate under 3% salt stress,35 kinds of salt tolerance cultivars with low mortality and high salt tolerance index were screened from 238 germplasm resources.Such as Fenghua No.1,Taihua 2,Shanhua 9,Shanhua 7,flowers 17,etc.;There are 64 kinds of salt-sentitive varieties with high mortality and low salt tolerance index such ashigher mortality,salt tolerance index lower salt-sensitive varieties 64.Such as foliage peanuts,the United States cited 41165,white Peanuts,Toalson,Tamnut and so on.
