Fermented lees are fermentation product of specific microbial inoculum on vinasse, which using microbial life activities to break down organic matter under microbial anaerobic or aerobic conditions. In order to study the effect of fermented lees on poultry, this experiment was carried on the following research from two aspects of broilers and laying hens. The experiment had investigated the nutritional value for the fermented lees.A total of 64 healthy 25-day-old male AA broilers with similar weight were randomly allocated into 4 treatments with 4 replicates per treatment and 4 chickens per replicate. The crude protein utilization and AME of fermented lees on broilers measured by nested algorithm. In the trial period, control group fed based diet, the second group fed diet with basic diet added 20% low fiber fermented lees, the third group fed diet with basic diet added 20% high fiber fermented lees, the fourth group was fasting group to determine endogenous losses. The preliminary experiments period is 3 days, and formal trial period is 4 days. The results showed that: the crude protein content of high and low fiber fermented lees respectively were 16.81% and 25.88%,which were significantly better than those of corn, and the apparent metabolic energy of low fiber fermented lees was 11.9 MJ/kg,which was similar to that of corn. The crude protein utilization rates of broilers were 39.58% and 46.91% for high and low fiber fermented lees.It can be seen that fermented lees have a higher nutritional value for broilers and the nutritional value of low-fiber fermented lees is relatively higher and can replace part of the protein feedstuffs.Experiments were conducted to study the effect of diet adding fermented lees for broilers.A total of 440 healthy 1-day-old male AA broilers with similar weight were randomly allocated into 5 treatments with 8 replicates per treatment and 11 chickens per replicate.Group A is the control group, feeding based diet. The low fiber fermented lees levels of the diet in Group B and C are 2.5% and 5%,respectively.The high fiber fermented lees levels of the diet in Group D and E are also 2.5% and 5%,respectively.The experiment period lasted for 35 days. The results showed as follows:IV diet added fermented grains increased the average body weight, average weight gain, feed intake, and the feed conversion ratio of broilers.Diet added fermented grains increasing the content of serum uric acid and glucose, lowering the content of serum total cholesterol;diet added fermented grains also increasing the content of lactobacillus and bifidobacterium in broilers' jejunum, the effect of the diet added 5%low fiber fermented lees group was most significant.Experiments were conducted to study the effect of diet adding fermented lees for laying hens.A total of 600 healthy Hy-Line Brown laying hens with similar weight and same weeks of old were randomly allocated into 5 treatments with 10 replicates per treatment and 12 chickens per replicate.Treatment 1 is the control group, feeding based diet, the fermented lees levels of diet in treatment 2~5 were 2%,4%,6%,8%,respectively.The experiment period lasted for 8 weeks. The results showed as follows:diet added fermented grains to a certain extent have reduced the Hy-Line Brown's feed egg ratio, the laying rate, the rate of broken eggs, and the average egg weight, but improved the total egg weight. The egg yolk color and the proportion of egg yolk and albumen have changed to a certain extent.Diet added fermented grains has reduced the albumen high, changed improved the egg shell thickness, improved egg shell color and the antioxidant capacity of albumen, reduced the cholesterol content in egg yolk. And it also reduced serum uric acid levels and the content of lactobacillus, salmonella and pathogenic escherichia in jejunum of layers, improved the content of acetic acid of jejunum contents.Taken together, diet added 2% fermented lees most appropriate.Experiments were conducted to study the effect of diet and water adding fermented lees for laying hens.A total of 48 healthy Hy-Line Brown laying hens with similar weight and same weeks of old were randomly allocated into 2 treatments with2 replicates per treatment and 12 chickens per replicate. The control group fed based diet, the experimental group fed diet added 4% fermented lees. The two groups added1% A and B liquid fermented lees in drinking water respectively. The experiment period lasted for 4 weeks. The results showed as follows: adding fermented lees in diet and drinking water can improve the egg quality, reduce laying rate but increase total egg mass. This study showed that the fermented lees have high nutritional value, the crude protein level is high. The apparent metabolic energy and crude protein utilization rate of fermented is higher for broilers.Diet added fermented grains can increase the production performance and economic benefit of broilers, improve the level of nutrition metabolism in the blood and improve the structure of intestinal flora.Diet added fermented grains could increase the laying rate of Hy-Line Brown laying hens and reduce the feed egg ratio, improve the quality of the eggs, decrease the rate of broken eggs, and improve the intestinal micro ecology environment and the immunity of the body.Diet and drinking water at the same time add fermented lees on the layers also have a certain effect.
