| The study presented was to evaluate the effects of a new source of zinc and manganese(Availa?Zn 170 and Availa? Mn 150)in combination on production performance,reproduction performance and blood biochemistry parameters of layer breeders,and on the skeleton development and intestinal integrity of progeny,thus providing the application guidance on poultry production.576 healthy Hy-line brown female layer breeder at 23 week of age with similar body weight were selected and randomly allotted to 3 treatment groups of 12 replicates with 16 hens per replicate reared in 8 contiguous cages with 2 hens per cage.60 healthy roosters at 23 week of age with similar body weight were selected and randomly allotted to 3 treatment groups of 10 replicates with 2 roosters per replicate.The 3 dietary treatments were: Control(A)group,basal diet supplemented with 80 mg/kg of Zn and 80mg/kg Mn from sulfate;ISO group(B),basal diet supplemented with 40 mg/kg of Zn and 40mg/kg Mn from sulfate,and with 40 mg/kg of Zn and Mn from Availa? Zn 170 and Availa?Mn 150,respectively;and On-top(C)group,40 mg/kg of Zn and 40 mg/kg Mn from Availa?Zn 170 and Availa?Mn 150,respectively,were supplemented to Control diet.The study lasted for 32 weeks.The results showed as follows:1)Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn can not affect the body weight and body weight gain of layer breeders,however,compared to control group,ISO group had a higher average egg weight for the whole experimental period.Supplemental Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn affected the hen-day egg production on week 9 and 24 in which on-top group had significant higher hen-day egg production than control and affected the hen house egg production on week 2 and week 4 in which control group were higher than ISO,but not in other weeks.Supplemental Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn significantly decreased the percentage of broken eggs compared to sulfate control.ISO supplementation of Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn increased egg shape index and albumin height on week 16,and decreased yolk weight percentage on week 24.On-topsupplementation of Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn increased Haugh uint significant on week 24,but not in other weeks.ISO supplementation of Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn decreased the brightness of egg shell in wk 8 and 32,decreased redness in 24 while increased redness in week 32,and on-top supplementation of Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn increased redness in week 32.The fertility and hatchability of layer breeder were not affected by ISO or on-top supplementation of Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn.However,ISO supplementation of Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn significantly increased the sellable chicks on week 24 compared to control group.2)Compared to control,supplementation of Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn did not changed yolk Zn content except that in week 24 ISO group had lower Zn content.However,yolk Mn content was affected by supplementation of Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn in week 8,16 and 32.Compared to control,ISO group had higher yolk Mn content in week 8 and 32,and on-top group had higher yolk Mn content in week 16.The anti-oxidative enzyme(SOD)activities,the T-lymphacytes subgroup proportion and the CBH response were not affected by Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn supplementation.3)Supplemental Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn in breeder diet did not affect tibia Zn content,but significantly and extremely significantly increase tibia Mn content of progeny.11)Supplementation of Availa-Zn/Availa-Mn in breeder diet,ISO group significantly increased the tibia length of progeny in week 23 and significantly decreased tibia weight of progeny in week 32,but not in other weeks.Compared to control,ISO group significantly enhanced claudin-1 expression in the ileum of progeny.On-top group had a significantly higher activity of Mn-SOD in liver,but the activity of total SOD and Cu/Zn-SOD were not significant between the groups.Conclusion: In this experiment,supplementing Availa? Zn 170 and Availa? Mn 150 in layer breeder diet can improved the production performance and increased Mn deposition in bone of progeny.And the ISO had the best effect. |
